New Wig

Post by Carol Ann »

Wow it came today my new wig and now I have to learn how to wear it.
I have a thing and just love long hair so I got Carol one. It comes down about 4" below the shoulders and down the back.

My wife took one look at me when I first put it on and said "honey you look 15 years older now", I don't care as there are so many things you can do with long hair and I am going to school to learn how.

Sorry no photoes until I learn how to do it but I am loveing it

Older? Short hair makes me look older.... So far all my gg friends are liking anything I put on my head except the cat.

I'm with Davita. Shorter hair tends to make me look older. But really short hair (or actually anything page-boy length and below) fails to offset my jaw. I love the weight of a long wig but wear medium length hair most of the time.

Hi Carol—
I know, I’ve heard that, too—that long hair is not for older women, whether they’re “xx” women or “xy” women. I don’t look that good in short wigs, either, so I stick with long hair. Have fun with your new appearance

Yesterday I played around with it everything from a flip to a ponytail, now still not sure if I am going to really like or just need to learn how to work with it better.

Anita, maybe it's me but I believe I look much much better in a short curly wig :-k

As we are our own worst critics, I think you're going to need another person or two or three looking. I also know that mirrors lie and so I recommend a picture or two to look at.

And no matter what we all are saying, you need to be comfortable in your hair. And yes, playing with it, wearing it and getting used to it will help you decide if you like it or not. I have one I don't particularly care for, it fits fine, but I don't like how it "fits my face". I don't wear it much because, but then my friends like it on me. Now that you have it and I don't know if you can send it back, you can use it to just to have a change from your usual self.
