Wha we go through to look beautiful
I had a dinner date with my BF this evening andas his car is in the shop I picked him and drove. Obviously bcause I was driving we ended up back at his place rather than mine. Well afterwards asI was getting dressed to come home he watched me and chuckled
. I asked him what was so funny and he told me getting dressed. I gave him a dirty look and proceeded to finish dressing and he then explained to me that no man would go through what we women fo just to get dressed. He said after watch me fumble to hook my bra behind my back, then the contortions of putting my pantyhose, the struggles to get my giordle on, then finally the battle to gt my skirt zipped behind my back were just silly. He said men would never put up with that crap as he called it
.
I got to thinking
on my drive home and he is right! Getting dressed s a man is a hell of a lot easier! The toughest athing man has to do is maybe tie a tie, look what we go through. Granted it is more fun but still it is work as well!

Deidre for me, sometimes the extra time and effort is worth it and other times it is not. I guess thus why I dress differently depending on my mood; from under/mixed attire, guy in a dress look, to full femme and many points between. For me personally I would not be able to do full femme all the type. I am too much of a guy.

Re: Wha we go through to look beautiful
Well I learned the hard way, my wife was off for two weeks in Germany and I was feel to be Carol Ann 24/7.
First 4 days were a real good time getting all dolled up and going out and liveing full time as a women
Well I come to realize I am glad I was not a working girl who had to dress everyday to go to work, I guess my biggest problem was makeup. Makeup on in the morning and retouching all day long and then at night what do you do, clean it all off
.
The dressing I never mined but the makeup is a pain in the A
,
oh and not to forget heels are a killer if you have to wear them all day long.
So what do I think

Carl Ann, thanks for your post. I can understand your sentiments. When I'm left alone for several days, I have a great time being en femme for the first 3 or 4 days, but then it seems to wane, like its no longer a novelty, but normality, and I haven't tried the makeup thing yet, apart from a bit of lippy occasionally!Carol Ann wrote:Well I learned the hard way, my wife was off for two weeks in Germany and I was feel to be Carol Ann 24/7.

My greatest worry on this subject: will we all descend into wearing leggings, a tunic top, and flats, because "its easier"? Good grief, I hope not!

Re: Wha we go through to look beautiful
The makeup is definitely the make or break thing with the CDing for me so far. It's the most time consuming - like at least an hour to put it on and then retouching and then taking it off. It also makes me feel I'm kind of irrevocably somewhere else. Partly that's because when I look in the mirror I do actually see a woman looking back - and partly because I'm don't feel able to confront the outside world with all that stuff on.I haven't tried the makeup thing yet, apart from a bit of lippy occasionally!
So then when I go on wearing it, I kind of get further and further into being a woman - and I get further and further into being in this other place. It's not so much what I go through to look beautiful (nice as that would be), it's what I go through to make me feel like I'm a woman...

Re: Wha we go through to look beautiful
I've never really minded doing the "girl thing" with makeup etc. I love the chance to pick my outfits too. What is my killer of going thru the whole process is the part of the process to undo the boy. My face can't take being ground off more than four days in a row, let alone having to go thru that grinding process in the first place. If I had fem hair, then shaving it would be a whole lot quicker and could be done the night before along with any other normal hygiene. My legs are another example, I cannot got more than a couple days (the day I shave my legs and the next day) before I have to touch up. My fur face is every day I go out.
So I spend as much time undoing the boy as I do the girl. I have a basic minimum time requirement for me being out and about en fem or it has to be terribly important before I will bother getting ready. For me it doesn't make sense to spend a couple hours to get ready for a couple hours of fem time out. Undoing Davita is no time at all. Make up remover, soap and water -- I'm done. If I have to take my nail polish off then that's done while watching TV and isn't a hassle.
The more you go through the routines, the more efficient you get. If I have to get ready in under two hours, I can actually do it and still get out without scaring the public any more than usual. It seems too that a rush job or a slow one is not a criterion for forgetting earrings, perfume or eye makeup

The way you say this (and you've said it before) the whole shaving thing is a major problem for you - especially the bit about "grinding" - so probably I can't tell you anything. But I've had my own problems with this. Particularly I found I couldn't get a clean enough shave without irritating the skin (I'm using an electric because my non-electric technique always has me nicking myself). I've taken to using a face wash:Davita wrote: My face can't take being ground off more than four days in a row, let alone having to go thru that grinding process in the first place. Applied 5 minutes before I shave, this has basically got rid of my problem. Not cheap and I'm not sure if it's available in the States, but it's certainly helped me.
