Hi Ladies,

While I do love the feeling of pantyhose, I consider myself more of a stocking woman.

I do however find it more difficult to make a preference over stay-ups or garter style stockings. I love the praticality of the stay-ups in terms of putting them on and not worrying about them, but Nothing beats a super sheer pair of seamed stockings with an open bottom girdle garter.

What are your preferences?

I'm a recent convert from panty hose to stay ups but I'm still experimenting with sizing. No wardrobe malfunctions yet but there is that slighty insecure feeling.

I agree. That's why I, since I prefer stockings, partly for the reason Carol Ann mentioned, prefer the reassurance of a good garter/suspender belt or girdle. The garter belt must be a good one - not one of the frivolous sort sold on ebay. And I think 6 straps is the minimum.

I used to be a pantyhose woman until I was told about the sensual feelings you get from wearing a nice firm girdle, or garter belt and stockings.

Even since experiencing that feeling I have never worn another pair of pantyhose. The only exception is if I wear a mini skirt where the garters would show when I sat down.

For this girl there is nothing that makes me feel more like a woman than my girdle and stockings.

I wear both, guess it depends on what else I'm wearing as to which I choose.

I'm with garter type stockings today as I'm wearing a corset with suspender straps. For the sake of comfort I find that it's important that quality suspender/garter belt be worn so it holds the stockings firm. It dont get much firmer than with a corset.

One trick I use with a garterbelt is to wear a waist cincher over the top. That stops the belt moving. Still can have problems with wandering straps though but a quick squirt of hair spray helps create friction.

Probably wear holdups more though, sometimes I just can't be bothered or don't have the time for the garter belt and strap hassle.

When I was thinner I was wearing either, but found the stay ups (thigh highs?) were cutting into my thighs and were a bit too obvious. Now that I'm heavier, I won't bother with stay ups; besides, they are never long enough. I do have a couple garter belts and some stockings (and they are long enough), but I prefer a warm fall or spring to be wearing them. I more most often wear pantyhose (and it has to be fairly cool) or I am simply bare-legged.

I prefer stockings with a garter / suspender belt . But at times when the suspender belt might show through my clothing I wear suspender tights.

I've never managed to find a stayup that will stay up.

Garter belts/stockings are nice, and more convenient than pantyhose in most cases. But I wear PH much much more often.

Anyone noticed the store window poster a victoria secrets, the model has the garters going over her panties, rather than under. More convenient the other way round.

Generally for me it is pantyhose however my late wife would sometimes wear stockings for those "special occassions" and I tend to follow that. I prefer a girdle when I wear stockings but I should try to find a garter belt and try them again, probably been 20 years since I wore one. I tried thigh highs a few years ago and found them not to stay up very well so I guess that turned me off to them.

I need my pantyhose, even in scorching hot 100F. It does not take the pleasure of a firm girdle for me. I do stockings and stay-ups too. But, for now, you can call me a pantyhose woman :-)
