My BF loves it when I wear a garter belt and stockings. He says it is more sexy than pantyhose and frankly I have to agree with him. The problem is finding a good garter belt that actually holds stockings up properly, the one you find today are more for the bedroom than anything else. The garters come undone, the straps stretch too much and the adjustments on them never seem to hold. Does anyone know where I can get a good garter belt that will withstand a day of wearing and keep stockings where they should be? I remember back in the olden days you could find them with 6 straps, do they even make those anymore?

I know a lot of you wear stockings so I need your help to make the BF a happy guy!

I found my garter belts on line from Orchid Corsette. I have the full garter belts with 6 garters and they hold my stockings up very well all day. Check out that site and see if it solves your problem. They also have some nice firm girdles you might like .

For me I have found garter belts with metal clasps to be the best as the plastic ones tend to undo easy. I have brought mine from ebay and there are quite a lot of chooses 4-strap, 6-strap even came across some with 8-straps.

Garter belts from secretsinlace.com are high quality, built for all-day wear, sexy (not cheap tho, but you get what you pay for) and have six metal clasps which I know will keep my stockings up all day...OBG's and panty girdles with six clasps are nice to wear and provide you with that confidence of quality that provides you with the knowledge that your stockings will hold up!

Very good quality. But guys have to order a size which is 2 inches smaller than your actual size, because we haven't got the hips!

You can also sew the strap to your desired length, so as not to have to keep adjusting them.

I would lie to thank all of you for your advice. I ended up ordering 2 from Secrets in Lace, well I ordered them but made the BF pay for them as they are quite expensive. He loves them and has ordered me another one as wel as some of the matching panties and bras. You have made him a very happy guy!

Where can you buy metal garters?

I have nice red and black garter belts but have broken the el cheapo plastic garters.

Michelle I have seen garter belts with metal garter online at different sites. If you just need the replacement garters for the belts, look at sewing stores as they usually have replacement garters and sometimes have the metal ones. But I have found the replacement plastic ones are often better then the ones on some garter belts.
