Heels

Well today I saved a good pair of heels, stupit me I wore them outside in the gravel and the heels were a mess. Now the shoes I love black pat with a 4" heel, so I got on the net and found what they call heel tips. *-*

So a long story short I order them and replaced my old tips with new. Good as new and now I don't have to try and buy a new pair.

Only problem is the old tips just don't come out so be careful, then just a hammer and I have my heels again *-*

Oh by the way they are cheat BUT the S&H will kill you.

And a cobbler is born.

S&H is a total rip off occasionally, IMHO.

I forget where I saw then, but I bet if you look around in a shoe store you will find them. It's common for women to pop those little tips off. If you don't see them in the store, ask. You won't be the first and by the time you ask, the sales person will likely know where to get them locally.

A good shoe repair shop can also replace the heel pads. I took a few in for my ex over the years when she could still wear them.

Kim,
Sweetheart there is no such thing as a shoe repair man or shop nowhere near here :(

Davita,
Thank you dear, I will remember that as we have a ton of shoe stores just south of me (--)

Same problem here - I wore my $$ fav leather heels in a Zombie walk and wore out both heel tips, arghhh

I was probably the scariest thing out there

Shout out if you find a store chain that carries heel tips, I need em. local repair shop wanted $15 to put new tips on and wouldn't sell me just the tips...

I felt like beating him over his head with my worn heels ;)

I couldnt bear the thought of risking any of my bow heels getting even scratched!! no rock walking here in them hahaha

Carol? Do you do call-outs? Just head east, looooooong swim, over a few hills and I have a pair that need fixing waiting right here for you ;)

They just broke, no rocks involved....

Now this is exactly why you need to go shoe shopping with me in Bulgaria. When you buy a nice pair of heels there, they include a spare set of the tips. I've never had to try replacing them yet, but I'm ready in case I do.

Unfortunately one of the nicer pair of pumps that I have from Bulgaria I broke the heel off entirely when I slipped on the ice going down some stairs. So now I need to find someone around here to fix them. There is a place in Antigo, WI that fixed my last ones, but now that I'm in Montana I need a new place. Maybe I can find a boot maker who will do it for me.
