Wow mascara

Post by Bambi »

So my wife went to town on me when my first lovely red wine wig turned up and I have to say mascara really changes your face. I now know why my sister always said she was jealous of my lashes.

Awesome Bambi :)

Yes, nothing changes it more than some decent eyeliner and mascara lol. Well okay foundation and blusher maybe... Nah, mascara wins it for me too.

My wife often says she'd like my eyelashes too, Unfortunately i torched them lighting up a cigarette yesterday. Seriously! rotf

Mascara good, eye liner a pain for me too. I tried liquids and pencils to no avail. Now I use a powder and there is an infinite choice of colors (every eye shadow I own) and so much easier to apply.

Ya kkknnoooowww....... mascara comes in colors (yeah even blue) but where I'm going is when you are looking for a hint of pop you should find a shade of mascara which it closers to your natural lash color. Myself, I do a dark shade of brown not a shade of black. This brown also goes with my shades of auburn hair and even with my blacks.

At the end of the night, mascara seems to be the hardest makeup to remove. I found a few that are specifically marketed as "washable."

Diana do you use makeup remover to take off your makeup or just soap and water? Also do not get the waterproof mascara as that can be harder to remove.

I also have problems with getting the mascara off. One is that I can't really remember accurately what my lashes looked like without the mascara on. I do get to a certain point doing the washing with soap and water which gets rid of nearly all the makeup on my face, leaving little spots I mop up with moisturiser (which I guess is like makeup remover, only cheaper).

Then my lashes can look alright, but when I press my finger against them (gently) I still get a black smudge. And even after I've got rid of that and I've left it, later in the day I notice that the lashes look thinner - like I still hadn't got rid of all the mascara - and whatever I've done in the interim has got the rest of it off.

Mind you it has been worse that that. Like the first time I tried pressing my finger against my lashes, it came off totally covered in black. There must have been times before that when I went out (drab) with plenty of mascara still on and completely oblivious.

But, I agree with Karin, mascara and eyeliner can make a hell of a lot of difference.
