Favourite fashion websites

Post by TammyT »

At the moment, I'm just using search engines to look for clothing ensembles. Are there any websites that you can search through outfits based on a particular component? If you just wanted outfits with black skirts, for instance.

Post your favourite fashion blogs and websites anyway!

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking for, Tammy, but some web sites offer a virtual model. You answer a few questions about your shape and then the site gives you a model to dress. I suspect if you find the sites with the virtual models, you might get to the sites more like what you want. Hope this helps.

Hi Tammy,
Up until this last week I was buying virtually all my clothes on the internet or major store ordering and collect in store, I have only been on this site for just over a week and three times I have been into female clothing stores and forced myself to browse through the racks. I don't go out en femme, I am 69 years old with a bald shaved head so I must stick out like a sore thumb. But no one has commented and mainly the younger female shop assistants have been very helpful and polite. I still haven't plucked up the courage to use the changing rooms though. Come to think of it I never used the male changing rooms either. Only one male sales assistant tried to make a sarcastic comment but I shot him down by saying yes it is all for me(or something similar).
I seem to say this in every post but it is true that this forum and the lovely friendly girls have changed my whole way of life, so if I can do it anyone can. I have just realised that I haven't been on here a full week yet. I can not believe how far I have come in that time, and we know the reason why.
Hugs and kisses to all the way DOWN UNDER
Joanne

Perhaps my favorite is ivillge.com It is real women talking about fashion, make-up, hairstyles, and more. Check it out gurls!

iVillage looks okay. Thanks, Karen.

The sites I was talking about are ones like Chictopia, What Would Zooey Deschanel Wear?, and Worn On TV. On these websites, you can search for "black skirt" and it will return photos of all ensembles that have a black skirt.

I love looking at the 50 plus fashions website. I keep wishing that I was a glam fifty something model. I would give anything to be one of those ladies.
