One of the things I like best about fall. What are your favorite styles? What do you wear them with?
I think knee-highs are the most versatile, both in high-heeled and riding-boot styles, but I have some thigh-high/over-the-knee pairs that I really love as well. I wear boots with everything: skirts, leggings, skinny jeans - even shorts (yes, with tights they're a great "on-trend" look for cool weather!)

I had one pair of boots with fur trim at the top. Gave them to charity since I can no longer wear heels due to ankle surgery.

My favorites? All of them!!
I have a lot, maybe 10 pair of boots of various styles.
I agree, they can be worn with anything. Well I never wear shorts but I do think the shorts+tights+boots look is nice.
Mostly I wear them with skirts or dresses because mostly I wear skirts and dresses. I need to go to Bulgaria again soon...............

My BF says there is nothing than a lady in a pair of stiletto heel boots!

Of course I do dress to please him when I can. I probably have 15 pairs of boots, most with heels and knee high although I do have 2 pairs of riding boots, one in black and the other in tan. I also have a pair of thigh high black leather boots with a 4" spike heel the BF gave me for Christmas last year. I haven't worn them but a couple opf times as he referes to them as my CFM boots.

I did buy myself a new pair of gray suede ankle high boots with a short, 2", heel for me. Haven't a clue what to wear them with but I hope I figure out something as they were not inexpensive.

How about a black miniskirt and black opaque tights with your ankle boots? Gives a nice leggy look!

Wearing boots mean snow weather to me, so low and stable heels are a must. The younger, much younger, ladies wear cute boots year round. In my grade school days, knee high 'Go-Go' boots were the cool thing to wear. Remember the TV show Laugh In? Goldie Hawn dancing with those high boots on.

My only comment is, well, two comments. Pay the extra $$ for good ones, preferably leather. Those vinyl ones can not only be dangerous, but your feet sweat and can smell, just saying.
For maxi skirts, the length really does not matter, but it seems the knee high boots look better with shorter skirts. For slacks, probably the shorter boots as the higher ones seem to make "creases" in the slacks so short ones seem to add to the look.

I agree with you Virginia, the well made leather boots are definitely worth any extra cost. They seem to be really hard to find in the US though.
Right now I'm wearing a pair of black leather boots with about a 3" wooden heel. They look really great, are comfortable can go with many different outfits. I can wear these all day, no problems

I remember them well. My wife had a pair, and they fit me well, back in the 70's, and looked great on, especially when wearing a pair of hot pants.

I agree if you are going to buy boots pop for the good ones, much more comfortable after even a short time. I love boots and generally wear them with all length skirts. My favorites are a pair of brown stack heel knee length ones I bought at Macy's a couple of years ago. I have worn them literally all day and are as comfortable after 12 hours in them as they are when you first put them on. That God it is fall so I can wear them again!
