I have always wanted to dress as a bride. So I will aim for this at Halloween.

Ladies please give me some advise on how to go about this and where I could get a nice gown and trimmings without spending a fortune.

Thanks.

For starters... try checking the thrift shops - they have bridal gowns for sale from time to time. I'm sure they will also have some of the accessories available too... might just have to ask. Good luck and happy hunting! :)

I got mine at at thrift store. I was not even looking for one as when I have looked they are all too small. They often have them out in a special spot.

I got one of mine at a JCPenny's outlet on sale there. So it was outlet priced then on sale. Check the return polices anywhere you're shopping. I can't remember if Penny's was returnable or not. Gowns are one of those items best tried on before leaving the store especially if the sale is final.

Think wedding petti too. A Princess gown doesn't look so good if it's not properly poufed. I don't know if you will go tiara or veil, but those can be gotten from Party City and other places that sell costume accessories.

Another spot to check for gently used wedding dresses is Craig's List and EBay. the issue with these may be trying them on. Although wedding dresses are sold by the generic size most have been altered to fit the bride so she looks her best on her special day.

Yes there are some lovely wedding gowns on Craig's List.

Oh I look forward to dressing as a bride.

I do make an attractive and passable woman and know that I will just love wearing a wedding dress.

I would love to be a bride in real life someday and perhaps I will. I have gone dress shopping with my sisters and I feel like I am always just one of the girls and it was suprising to the staff when I wanted to try on some bridesmaid dresses which I wore a dress at both of my sisters weddings and a few friends weddings as well. Nothing like wearing a pretty dress and being total feminine.

A few times I thought I could make a passable bride ( we'll, maybe if the veil was heavy canvas)....
