I have always applied my eyeliner after putting on my eye shadow but I've noticed that it takes a few tries before the liner "sticks" to my lid. Just for the heck of it I tried applying the liner before the shadow and it went right on; no delay. So I continued with the shadow and, after I was done, touched up the eyeliner and it went on much easier.

Has anyone else ever experimented with this?

The correct order to do eyes is moisturizer, eye liner, eye shadow, lashes. Add least that is the way my ex was taught in her how to put on eye makeup classes.

Aha, so I was doing it wrong all along............thanks.

Depends on the product used for liner.

Pencil and liquid should go on before shadow.

Powder should go on after shadow. I always use powder as a liner.
