Yes girls the weather here in the northeast is finally starting to turn colder. Is anyone as excited as me to be able to wear pantyhose again? I almost forgot how fabulous they can make your legs look!

Giggle you are a trooper girl! I guess it would be ok if you were in an air conditioned office.... Come to think of it, it has only been in the last few years that my company changed the dress code so that hose are not required in the summer months. How quickly we forget!

Kind of chuckled a bit when I read this as for the most part I and every other woman have been hose free at work. Was cool yesterday morning so I wore tights and saw several others doing the same. Guess that is the official start of fall.

I just love my pantyhose. Wear them as often as I can.

My Terri loves PH! Cooler weather just makes them more comfortable. She dresses less in hot temps, too hot to wear a bra. WTH?

Pantyhose and tights are one item a cder like me can wear in drab and be able to not be seen wearing such in public. They allow me to have a bit of my femme cding side with me even in drab.

Dressed fully up as Lacey in a skirt or a dress, pantyhose, tights, or garters and stockings finish my look off. They are that last bit of femininity and female shaping of a look and style when en femme. The bare legged look of GG's is IMO for most women is not often a very good look. Sorry but as a male and a cder looking out at the world circa 2017 most GG's do not have the legs to go without hose. In a professional environment going bare legged looks less polished and less professional, almost like you forgot to put some pantyhose or tights on as you ran out of the house. Socially (non-work related) if you wear a dress or skirt sans hose also for most GG's looks less flattering and polished especially if you are man hunting. Most guys like what pantyhose, stockings or tights do to women's legs.. sorry but this is a fact.

One thing me as a cder has is an ability to defend the wearing of pantyhose, stockings or tights, no GG's can play the YOU DON'T KNOW CARD! Because I do. Just as shoes are put on when one goes outside, for most cases, most women (a few have the legs to go sans hose) look finished and better in hose if they are in a dress or skirt, period stop. Of course it's your right and free choice NOT TO! Unlike a certain 1400 y.o. culture forcing women how to dress, I am not doing the the same here but am telling GG's what men like and what makes most GG's look better if in a dress or a skirt.

"But it's too hot." or "It's too itchy." I hear.. NOT GONNA BUY IT! especially when I see on a summer day women wear yoga pants (which are just very heavy tights) or wear jeggings, skinny jeans and they do not seem to say in either case "It's too hot." or "It's too itchy." There are very sheer but still finished looking pantyhose women can wear even in summer and they are not too hot. One does not even have to buy expensive pantyhose either, though other than $0.99 pantyhose a better pair or brand will fit better and be more comfy. Again I claim the right to say this POV as I am a cder who wears pantyhose, tights and stockings, even often in drab and find them not too hot (even stealthy under my male pants or jeans) nor uncomfortable. Yes, on our hotter days in drab with pants on I will go sans pantyhose, but if I was in a skirt or dress I would not.

At home going casual or in summer time shorts, of course going sans hose makes sense. But going out in public or at work/career unless your job/career is Blue collar ( and only about 4% of women pursue said jobs/careers) and your job or career asks for or requires GG's to wear skirts or dresses then I say put on some pantyhose, you will look more polished and look better and IMO if you buy a better quality pantyhose even feel better and more energized in your legs and back side as I find good pantyhose even under my guys pants/jeans stimulate my legs and much of my job has me up on my feet. Even at home dressed up as Lacey, pantyhose, tights or stockings make my legs feel better and I enjoy my dressing more as a result. :laptop: :coffee: :sigh:

Very well said Lacey. I have been telling women that for years. I live in So.Cal about 50 miles west of Palm Springs, so it goes past warm and all the way to hot here in summer. There isn't a day that I don't wear stockings because without them, I think I look terrible. I am retired now but whenever I leave the house, I still want to look my best. When I was still working, upper management gave into the hose are your choice. More than a few of the males asked me if they had the choice like that with ties they are required to wear, along with a sports coat or suit jacket. I'm sure a suit is 10 times warmer than hosiery, but we don't hear them complaining.

As someone who has lived on both sides of this subject I feel somewhat qualified to comment here. While both Lacey and Paula raise some interesting points they have not seen life from the other side as I have.

Lacey I understand what you are saying as I have been there. Eager to race home and get into my frillies and of course that included pantyhose. Back in those days I never thought about how hot or uncomfortable they could potentially be, there was the thrill of letting my femme side out. After all this was how women dressed and I fantasied about being one of them. Fast forward a few years and I was on the other side of the issue. It was no longer racing home to get into my femme clothes but rather get home, kick my heels off, get out of my dress and change into some casual clothes and relax.

Yes most women's legs look better in hose. I have been told I have nice legs even without hose on but yes there is a polished look in hose that bare legs will never accomplish. With that said you talk of what men want but what about what women want? Are we nothing but eye candy to the male of the species? In your eyes and those "other" men more an aggravation and there just to get coffee during the meeting? Honey that died thankfully many years ago! We are true equals and just as good at most things as men. No you are not outright telling women how to dress but through your inference that you speak for all men and what they like you are certainly implying it. Forget about the 1400 years of history or those stereotypes of the 1950s and start looking forward for we are women hear us roar!

You talk about how you love pantyhose because it gives you the opportunity to wear something femme undetected but how often do you do really do it? Is it 5 days a week for 10 to 12 hours or more? Or is it just when the mood strikes you? I got a chuckle about how when it was hot and muggy you avoid wearing pantyhose under slacks as that is too hot and uncomfortable yet if you were wearing a skirt you would wear them. Yes I will grant you that is cooler than under slacks but really? After a hot, muggy day of running around, getting up and down from your desk a couple of dozen times, walking half a mile in the blazing sun and oppressive humidity between air conditioning buildings for a meeting do you really think they would be that cool or comfortable? If you do I have a bridge you might be interested in purchasing. ..rofl..

I am now one of those in that proverbial range known as middle management for one of the domestic auto manufacturers, Yes the ranks of women are growing there but we are still the minority. While the official dress code is that of "corporate casual" most of us females in positions similar to mine dress a bit better. My usual attire is a dress or a skirt and top paired with a blazer and most my counterparts wear similar but prior to the weather changing to more fall like temperatures very rarely did you see hose of a sort. I was even at a meeting where there were two women who hold the title of corporate vice president and although they wore classy and obviously expensive skirted suits neither had hose on. In other words the act of wrestling ourselves into a pair of pantyhose does not make us any smarter or competent. It only satisfies what you and what you perceive other men to "want" us to look and dress like.

On a side note I have been dating a very wonderful gentleman for about 4 months now. He has seen me in a variety of outfits over that time. This past Friday there was that fall nip in the air so I pulled on a pair of purple tights that matched the sweater and purple stripe in the plaid skirt I had on that day. I wore them for no other reason as they made a nice accent to my outfit. More as an accessory as I think of a necklace or belt would be to a particular ensemble. When I met Kyle for dinner he told me how good I looked, something every woman loves to hear, but he also commented for the first time he liked my outfit. Now I will grant this was the first time I had ever worn any form of hosiery while out with him. Was it the way it fit me? Was it the fact IMO the colors look good on me? Was it the fact I had hose on? I don't know for sure but Lacey I am certain in your mind you believe you know the answer. Maybe it was maybe it wasn't I have no intentions of pursuing the question further. I will tell you it seemed to make no difference with what happened later in the evening.

Oh please Paula give me a break! Obviously you have never listened to men talk and never saw them shuck the suit coat and tie and undo the button on their shirts as they make their way through the parking lot after work on a hot day. I doubt you saw any women peeling their pantyhose off or taking off their heels or bras as they walked to their car though. Have you ever noticed at a dance or a wedding how all the men shed their coats and loosen their ties as the evening progresses. I know back in the days of yore many a night before the corporate casual became official we would stop for a drink after work and all the guys would wonder how wearing a tourniquet around our necks suddenly made us so much better at out jobs. Don't even try to tell me you have never sat with a group of women regardless whether you agreed or not at a wedding or dance or some other formal event and the subject of how someone can't wait to get home and shuck the pantyhose or peel out of the Spanx (or girdle as the case may be) or bemoan the fact they wore an underwire bra rather than a soft cup? Men complain just like women do but also like women they do it amongst themselves.

Heather, of course they lose the jacket and tie as soon as they can, they don't have the option of not wearing them. So on a 100 degree day, and because the air conditioning can't keep up with the door opening up constantly, they are cooking. I have never had the "pleasure" of wearing a suit and tie, but I did wear a skirt suit daily with foundation garments and hose daily. Being more than a few years older, I guess it is just a different time that I entered the business world. There is no win or lose, in the end, it is just how one see's the world.

You are so correct Paula you have never been "forced" to wear a suit. In reality women were never women "forced" to wear pantyhose, heels, or for that matter a bra. However it was just expected of us in certain positions and occupations and we did. Did we complain? Of course we did, same as men did about suits and ties. Trust me because like Heather I have been on both sides of this issue. The point is it is a matter of personal choice and preference.

I remember back in the old days when I was working as a consultant there may be days when I was "properly" attired for a good 16 hours or more. Many of those long days included a flight. Ever try to get comfortable on a crowded plane? Now add to that you have been in that skirt, hose, and heels 8 or more hours at that point of the day. No none of it was "forced" however it was just the uniform of my chosen profession and I did it as did many other women back then. I still remember the first time I went into the office wearing a pants suit, to some of the old timers you would have thought the world was coming to an end. Now bear in mind I bought that pants suit at the same store I bought most of my skirted suits and it was every bit as expensive.

One of the benefits women have over men IMO is we have greater options in clothing. Go to a cocktail party and look around and what do you see? The men blend into a sea of gray and navy suits. Women on the other hand you see dresses of varying lengths, colors, and style, pant suits, skirted suits, skirt and blazer combinations, and so on all stylish and fitting right in.

Probably being of a past time I wear hose generally but not always but the fact a woman doesn't bring me to rage for it is their choice. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if her SO finds her beautiful sans hose who are we to judge?

I need to wear pantyhose for my job. Sheer Energy medium support. I do a lot of walking and they keep my legs feeling good. No one can see them, of course.
