Platform shoes?

Post by Jenny »

Does anyone know of any good sites or stores that sell platform shoes? I've been dying for just a regular black pair to go with some news pants, but everywhere I go, I can only find pointed heels or anything else but what I'm looking for.

Lots of shoe stores sell platform shoes, just depends upon the size and style you want.

I love wearing platform high heels and/or wedge heels, and I've had lots of success at Burlington Coat Factory and Target, but you can also try Famous Footwear, Payless Shoes, Rack Room Shoes, Sears, and JC Penney, to name a few.

There is also www.zappos.com but they are *very* expensive. I usually use their site just as a price and style comparison.

I can't believe I didn't think of Payless. But I found the cutest wedges at Famous Footwear for pretty cheap. Thanks, Silver!

DSW, if there's one in your area, has the best selection around. I'd try them--they're having a good sale right now!

I got these at Torrid last week:

"Black Mariah Sherpa Platform Clog
This black clog features a faux suede upper trimed with studs, black faux sheepskin and a buckle strap. Suede cloth sole and faux wood heel. 1" platform and 3 1/2" heel."

Very comfy, and they look good with most anything.

Take a look at Kohls, if there is one in your area.

Scout them out and then wait for a clearance sale. They stock most shoes in up to size 11.

I've gotten a couple pairs of the platform/stacked heel styles in the juniors lines. My favorite are a pair of LEI loafer type with a 3 1/2 inch stacked heel, slight platform, and a really cute buckle across the front/top.

I don't think I've ever paid over $15 for any shoes I've bought there. And they all had a regular price of $40 and up.
