Earrings
So, what type of earrings do you wear and where do you typically buy them?
I love clipon or screw post earrings, well because I don't have pierced ears and I just find the very attractive... I own about 70 pair, most of which I acquired on Ebay... In lots of 10+ and have paid typically less that a dollar a piece for them! Plus I also find a lot it flea markets, estate sales, and antique shops... Even bought a few from walmart...... ohhh and had some custome made for me buy a friend in FL..
Of the 70 pair about a dozen are dangly... My favorite pairs are my multi tiered aquamarine pair and my latest purchase, a pair of antique brass and jade green longish teardrops... From ebay and a local antique store, respectively..
So what's on your lobes??
Love Karren

I wear clips, and get them from various places:
Amerimark Windsor Collection through their website;
Clearance areas of other websites (National, Lane Bryant, Blair, etc.);
dollar stores;
rummage sales;
Walmart, Target, Avenue, Penney, Bonton, Kohl sales;
gifts from my loving, supporting wife.

I have clip on earings. I find them hard to buy with a style that I like. I have bought off ebay but the choice is very limited in Australia and will probably have to buy off shore as there is a much bigger choice of styles. I look forward to the day (when my son is older) that I can get my ears pierced.

Pierced studs most of the time. To and from work, I may wear various dangles. At work and en homme, its various studs. En femme, I usually go with hoops or dangles.
Got my ears pierced a little over a year ago. Prior to that event, I wore clip-ons. You can get little doodads that let you convert pierced style earrings to clip-ons.
Most of my earrings have come from WalMart or Claire's.
Love,
Alana

I wear clip-ons and I do like Alana says, I have the "converters" so I can wear some of SL's ear rings also. They really do a good job. I have many pair of clip ons but it seems the really nice ones are for pierced ears but with the adapters, I don't need no more holes in my body!

So where do you buy these converters? I have taken old clipons that were either pretty ugly or damaged and used parts off them to convert pierced earrings... But converters sound easier than that!!

Karren -
I bought Virginia's clip on earring converters at Bealls (in FL) under the name "EarWare". They had the "Dangle Clip Converters" as well as the "Adhesive Clip Converters," and they were $2.00/pair for either style in gold or silver. I could not find them at Bealls' website (nor a Google search under that name), although Bealls does have a great selection of clip on earrings at their stores (regular and outlet) - and shopping there is a great experience!
I found these websites (and more) by doing a Google search for 'clip on earring converters':

http://www.earringsaccessories.com/
http://www.earringdoctor.com/converters.html
Good luck!!

I'm really glad I saw this post. I've been wanting pierced earings but my SO does not want that. Thinks I will look gay. I didn't care, still wanting them and she says I could get one then later, after she got used to it, get the other pierced. Baby Steps....
Earing converters will do in the meantime. Have to go shopping again!
