Tan in a bottle
Has anyone used any of the Tan in a Bottle or Liquid Tan products. I have the normal male tan of mostly tee shirt tan with some tank top or sleeveless shirt tan. But my chest gets very little tan even when wearing lower cut tees and tank tops. I am sure the cap does not help. Anyway I am thinking of trying something to darken up my chest some. My wife has used some in the past, but does not currently have any and said she has no specific products she has used in the past and does not remember what she has used.

Most tan in a bottle products are much better today than in years past.
The tan will look marginally passable. Like us! So if you add marginally passable tan to a marginally passable woman you might start to think train wreck.
I would think work with what you got and go for that instead of adding more layers of fake.
Just my $0.02[/u]

Donna and Virginia thanks for the hints and comments.
Christine, yea I do know from hearing others in the past not to expect great things. But right now my upper chest is bright white compared to my dark tan arms and face. The down side to working outside in mostly tee shirts. So really the current contrast I have is not the good to start with. No way I can use makeup to reasonably get a close decent look. So I figure it would be easier to use makeup to blend even a bad orange look than the white I have. Just my thoughts.
I can not believe others have not tried these products. Or does everyone that goes out have the time to tan evenly. Or are others using other techniques to solve this issue?

Hi Kim
Don't know if you get the same ones over there but I have used a L'Oreal and a Dove 'Self Tan' moisturiser for the pale bits. they are Ok if you get the colour right, you only know that after about 4 or 5 applications, The first one I tried I ended up all sorts of shades of yellow and orange giving my wife a good laugh at the same time.
. As we get virtually no summer over this side of the water I don't need to tan up too often but it is nice to even up the arms and shoulders for that little off-the-shoulder number.

This is one topic I'm following closely, hoping someone found something magical, tan wise. Even though I live in a super sunny place....I just don't tan!!!! Like Kim, I do have the "redneck" vee just from years of, well, normal exposure. I can't even get tan lines (ok...they last one day). I have tried a few tanning things in the past with irregular and not at all good results, but haven't tried what may be newer products that work. Years ago, for outside, it was "suntan lotion" but now with knowledge of melenoma, its all "sun block"....so ......BTW Kim, what I do for those tops and dresses that expose more than the "redneck" vee is to use a liquid makeup, let it set...then use a setting powder over it. I bring it up my neck to just under the chin...trying to match my facial color. It works, but its a pain since I only need light facial makeup since laser. Also, it does rub off on bra straps and collars, but easily washed out. So, keep the suggestions coming girls because I might be shopping for a bridal gown soon and any kind of even tan would be great!!!!
Hugs all

If you don't ex foliate the elbows, knees & feet they will look horrible with fake tanners.
For the previous post by Kim the only combat is daily application of good sunblock. Trying to hide farmers tan is much harder than applying a good sunblock before you leave the house.
I am guilty of this too, as I see the need to do so as well I have done so more diligently. I used to just grin a bear it and go for the tanned skin look.
Now I try to think if I am out in the sun I should use a good SPRAY SF50 or better. Girls don't look good in freckles.

I recently purchased Jergens Natural Glow. I'd been hearing good things about it.
After shaving the legs and exfoliating, I gave it a try. It has worked great, and in only three days my legs look 100% better. No orangey color and no streaking.
Since I haven't done my upper body I don't want to get too carried away, so will try use it sparingly.
So now, I'm ready to bare my legs on the beach in Cancun next week, when we go down for our daughter's wedding. Won't give anyone snow blindness.
