i told some of you that i had a friend who was making a movie and asked me to be an extra en femme. i was scared shitless girlfriends, but i did it. the star of the shoot, nina flowers, even called me "sister." my cousin stopped by and took pictures, i walked down a sidewalk with a purse slung over my shoulder hearing the clack clack of my own high heels on city property pavement for the first time in my life...it was all so trippy.
some of you know my down-the-road goal (i still try to keep it private), but my hope is that this experience was a step in that direction.
so when i got here and saw a regular nobody around friday, i thought i would do a post. kisses and hugs and all that femmy stuff.~cassidy jaye

hi virginia~i didn't really expect readings from girls i haven't already told about this thing in the chat room, so i owe a little explanation. it wasn't a big production, just an indie kind of thing being shot here in albuquerque, and i did it gratis as did the other extras. but it was a thrill (the first time for this six decade gal stepping out into the light of day), the people were wonderful (the directors, the other extras, and yes nina flowers, who was the first professional impersonator i've ever seen), and i didn't really want to click my ruby red slippers (actually a pair of black patent leather mary jane stilettos) to get back to kansas.
i hope that didn't deflate the balloon of the idea of a tgirl from down here making it in the big world, but i didn't want to leave you with the wrong idea. a small film that might be taken to some festivals for screening, but i am not yet tootsie. but i did so enjoy your applause and the girlfriend hug for working up the nerve to go through with it. ty again.~cassidy
