Hi Tina,
I wonder how many of us came from these at least psychologically abusive backgrounds, and how it figures into the reasons each us us have for doing this. I can personally say that it figures promenently.
Was your mom confused about your gender due to some physical ambiguity? Most babies ive seen are fairly defined.
As far as the ball bat, If it solved the problem, then it was the right thing to do. I am by nature non violent and non competitive, but my warped upbringing made it necessary to use physical force on occasion. People who didnt grow up in this disfunction have a really hard time understanding that.
Political correctness be damned.
I think you will find a lot of supportive people here.

Hi all,
Tina,
I missed your post so I don't really know what it was about. Just so you know, it's not that there are certain things you cannot talk about on the forum but, rather, that there are certain things that need to be dealt with in a more circumspect fashion on the open forum. This, precisely, because of the presence of minors on the forum. So don't feel bad. You did nothing wrong. Perhaps you can take the time to poke around a bit, get a feel for the board and its membership.
Keep in mind that, once you've been a posting member for at least thirty days, you can request access to the more controversial areas of the forum (which remain hidden from view to those members who'd rather avoid them).
I take this opportunity to welcome you aboard and hope that you enjoy the time you spend with us. There's a great bunch of people here--fine gals, all, CD's and SO's alike. I also wish you a joyful Christmas and much health, happiness, and peace in the coming year.
Love,
CJ
