Kerri is born again

Post by Kerri »

Hi,

Kerri has been around for a considerable time. She was born in 1952 in a fishing community outside of Aberdeen.
Her first memory of feeling different was at the tender age of four.
Kerri didnt like to play with the boys, and preferred to play chinese ropies and hopscotch with the girls.

Her first dress was a brown jersey 50's number belonging to her sister. Kerri also loved to play in the sun wearing a rushed girls onepiece swimsuit, in a pretty pale blue colour.

At the age of ten Kerri was lucky enough to spend halloween dressed in a pretty party dress complete with ankle socks and mary-janes.

As a young teenager Kerri delighted herself by appearing as one bride after another whenever she was left home-alone, on at least three nights of the week.

Kerri however became revolting in her late teens; she was not a nice person and caused her parents heartache when she turned into a grotty bearded motorcyclist, who didnt know when to stop drinking strong ale.

Kerri resurfaced spasmodically for the next fifteen years; she would buy some clothes, get dressed, get depressed and then get drunk. At the age of forty Kerri struggled to come to terms with her dual personality.

Maturity brought some self acceptance. But the depression never really left. It finally hit Kerri for six when she turned fifty.
Now after many years of therapy Kerri is back, doing her best to stay on an even keel. Her biggest obsession with food brings a daily battle to try to control her weight. Currently at 100Kg.

I have even added a wee photo, called "Kerri reflecting".
Its good to be back, I wish I looked like my avatar though!

Hey Kerri,
This gal rides motorcycles! Had a Suzi 1400 Intruder and now a Honda VTX 1800. Of course I have to admit Virginia has not dressed and rode, yet! That will be this summer, with SL on the back, it will be just two girls, a big bike and lots of open road! I gotta admit, I am a bit apprehensive, 'cause on a bike there is not hiding anything! I guess my biggest concern is my hair and taking my helmet off :-k.
Anyway I digress, thanks for sharing and I know that you and a lot of our sisters have had those days when we think about our past and how we grew up and begin to remember certain things we had done or wished for that told us we were "different" and that we had ignored or suppressed until later when our "Gift" became a very integral part of our lives!
Love,
Virginia

Virginia & Donna,

You are both champions, I went off on one last night.
Hey a girl can sound off now and then.

To me I am fat, especially compared with my image prior to stopping smoking around 17 years ago. Back then I took a UK girls size 14 dress.
I had a considerable wardrobe and was very active in the local LGT scene.

In three months I put on 3 stone, and over the next two years added a further 3 stone. I went from 11 stone to 17 stone and couldnt shake it off, no matter how hard I tried. It was like Catch22 the bigger I got the more I ate, and the doctors refused to help me.

It was made worse by being bullied at work, which blew away all my self esteem.

I have a new job now, I am doing my damnest to rebuild my life, and reduce my bulk. I accept I'll never get back to the racing snake profile of 1990. So my target size is 16.

Next thing I need to learn is how to smile, for my next photoshoot.
Take care girls, you are my rock.

Those are beautiful pictures you took, Kerri. And I agree with SL. You just need to smile. It's amazing how much a smile will change your appearance.

Good luck pulling the weight off. It's a difficult struggle. Getting out of a stressful work envirnment will definitely help. Stress does so much damage to our bodies, mentally and physically. I'm glad to hear you're in a better job now. That should help.

Hope to hear more from you.

Hugs,
Kyra

Very nice pictures, Kerri. I do like that one of you, too, and I don't see the weight that you see. Good to hear that you're out of a stressful work environment. I paid my dues on that, and have a very low tolerance for it when it happens for any reason on a job that I'm contracting.

More pictures!
