Re-start 2003

On May 23 or 24 2003 I took a trip into town to hire a wig for the weekend , I created a photographic Harry Potter set and wanted to dress as the adult version of Hermione . After an absence of nearly 2 years I was reluctant to start dressing again , the fact that the wig was hired was a positive step in assuring this excersize was a one off.
On the saturday everything went to plan and I felt very strange being dressed up after such a long intermission , disappointment followed a few days later when my photos were developed , I looked more like Michael Jackson.
Angry that I had lost my touch I decided to have another attempt but somewhat failed again , the wig hire was costing me a fortune so I purchased one of my own , one that was more suited to being ME and not any other character.
I wore a denim mini skirt with a rainbow striped top for a photoshoot and this time I was impressed with the result , I called myself "Rainbowgirl" .
I was hooked again and knew that I wouldn't stop there , the name "Rainbowgirl" was not suitable for other outfits so I called myself "Merinda" .
The name Merinda was derived from a dream where someone refered to me as "Merinda" , I didn't know the name even exsisted , but I guess I must have heard it somewhere.
I don't know exactly what date I declared my name as Merinda but I can say "Rainbowgirl" was after May 28 and the first photosession of Merinda was June 15 2003.
So I am celebrating 6 years of "Merinda"
