My Start

My first interest in women’s clothes was wanting to wear my Mom’s high heeled shoes, unfortunately my feet were somewhat larger that her’s were and so never really got that chance then.
I remember wanting to try my sister’s “dress-up” clothes and did try one rainy day, especially desirable was a sheath with a zipper on the side at the waist, but it didn’t fit and I was caught! Nothing was ever said about this.
I can remember being alone in the house during the day, not sure when, but trying my Mom’s undies, girdles, bras, pantyhose and such, and eventually moving to trying her make-up.
I began purchasing my own things after getting my first full time job. My first bra was purchased at a “Rickel Home Center” (sort of like a small Home Depot with extras) Later bras were purchased at Kmart and other similar stores
My first wig was bought at a Merle Norman store in a mall; they had wigs on sale. I sort of agreed with the clerk about being in a show. Later wigs were purchased at K-Mart (they carried them at the time).
I have purged once. Since I realized the next time how expensive it can be to buy things, I rented a self-storage place to keep my stuff in, it also got it out of the house.
I probably increase my dressing once I got a Polaroid camera, unfortunately without a timer.
My first breast forms were self-made out of foam, trimming it to the right shape. My first purchased forms came from Sears.
This was all before the internet and digital cameras.
For awhile my dressing was done on Fridays by getting a motel room to fully dress. Prepare with a bath and then put everything on and usually taking photos, Polaroid, digital, and some real film.
Now I dress mostly at home, but do not get to go out even for a drive or walk. A lot of my purchases are made on the internet, especially wigs which are so much cheaper online. I go to Lane Bryant and The Avenue for many of my clothing purchases.
