Now I ask this of the GG who have to dress all the time for their work or what ever.
Today was a casual day and I was wearing a pair of wedgies heels and my wife told me that they were harder on your feet then heels.
I don't know as they fit and are comfortable and I can walk in them all day.
So the question is, are they harder on your feet?.
I know, I know I am not yet a GG, but, based on scientific information - well actually it is my best guess. The main reason males seem to be able to "do better" in heels is our ankle bone structure is a bit bigger and dare I say stronger, than GG's, so we can support the weight better. Well so it is just a guess, makes sense to me!

Wedgie heels do tend to be harder on the feet than regular high heels, but mostly because they don't bend while walking . . . it's more that only the ankle is bending while walking (causing more stress), as opposed to the foot and ankle bending.
That being said, Virginia is also correct in that GG's tend to have smaller ankle bone structures, which is by nature not as strong as GM's.

I find high wedgie heels more comfortable all day than ordinary high heels. For me they distribute the weight more evenly than just through a thin heel, the thinner the heel the more my legs or feet hurt.
Women: scientifically proven to be right even when they’re wrong.
For me, wedgies vs. regular high heels (not pointy toe stilletos)... it depends on how well the shoe is made. Well made high heels, that have a strong arch and are high enough on the ankle - particularly if they are pumps that have good foot structure, whether they have a peep-toe or not, are the most comfortable, even in fairly high 3.5 - 4 inch heels.
Wedgies don't bend as well when you walk, as SL said - OTOH, poorly made and cheap high heels that do not have good arch structure and do not have good sidewalls (I don't know what you call the part that fits on each side of your foot) make your foot slide around as you walk and those are the worst. Same thing with strappy sandals - a good arch is essential, especially if they are very high heels.
There may be something to the size of ankle structure and how GMs weight is distributed on each foot that makes wedgies more comfortable, or vice versa. I'm thinking about the position of the pelvis in GMs and GGs - but I can't remember my anatomy classes well enough. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if men carry their bodies weight in different parts of their feet than women do. Dunno for sure - just my guess.
Wow thank you all as this is the place to get the info.

SL, my wife told me the same thing you posted, and Virginia yes my ankles are very strong to many years as a paratrooper. Love you all
