Dear GG:

I'm a long-time crossdresser and a relative newcomer to the online world. I just came across this forum called the Crossdressers-Forum.com. Everyone I've met there is really, really nice. What surprises me is that there's a goodly number of GG's, such as yourself, that seem to enjoy participating in that forum. My question is this: what would motivate a real gal to participate in such a forum?

Yours truly,
Crossdressed in Quebec

Seriously, Silver (and Georgia, too), I think it's a fabulous idea to have a "Dear GG" column. I imagine many of the questions will have to do with issues surrounding the workings of relationships where half that couple is transgendered in some way. Or maybe not. :) I've always valued GG and SO input here--very much so. I"m eager to see how this column will go. Best of luck!

Love,
CJ

Response to CD in Quebec:

Well, I have friends who are crossdressers, and the lifestyle was new to me - I had never heard of crossdressing before, so I came into this forum with an open mind. I became involved in the Forum as a means to better educate myself on crossdressers so that I may be a better friend, as one can never have too many friends, in my humble opinion!

My goal of this 'Dear GG' column is to answer questions from cd's or provide honest opinions. In the Chat Room on Saturday evening, I was asked for my opinion regarding a particular undergarment - which totally surprised me. In reading many posts throughout the forum, I've discovered that I can provide assistance on various topics. I am by no means an expert, nor do I believe that I will be 'right' on every issue. There are as many ways to do things as there are people on this planet.

In addition, as I am not an 'SO' - my dh is not cd, only my friends are - I may be able to provide answers without bias. At least, that is my goal.

Your friend,
- GG

- - Well, how's that for a response to the first question to Dear GG? Thanks for the support, CJ and Gracie - I'm happy to be of service!

Dear CD in Quebec, (aka CJ),

You asked...
My question is this: what would motivate a real gal to participate in such a forum?
Well, I was just sitting there minding my own business and this good looking fella fell into my lap. Come to find out, he looks good in skirts too... :P

As to the Dear GG column, I plead late-night-itism... Ya know, I think that whomever actually suggested this idea on some other thread, and Silver were thinking that this would cover the easy questions like - "How do I know what color lipstick to wear?" (Answer. Bite your lips, then match the color to that... it's your natural deep tone...). Heavy stuff, like what you are talking about probably ought to still belong in Coping or in one of the group forums where there's enough room to actually try to discuss things. I would hate for this to take the place of those long 7 page threads!

Hello Lefty ..o).. It's great to see you back! Isn't it lovely to see more GG's on here recently?! That is one of the reasons I come here...because there are other GG's to chat to, I apologise for being lazy and not posting much, I promise to be more sociable :)

Love,
