skirts / dresses & wind

Post by Julie »

I love to wear a skirt or dress on a windy day. I think the feeling of a skirt blowing around is great. I hear some women say it's a real pain and hold their clothes real tight while others seem to have fun with it . Whats your take on this?

Hi, Julie -
I think the feeling of a skirt blowing around is great. I hear some women say it's a real pain and hold their clothes real tight while others seem to have fun with it . Whats your take on this?
Well, it really depends on the reason why I was dressed in a skirt or a dress. If I was dressed for work, then it really was a pain, especially when I was carrying legal files to the courts, etc. If I am dressed up for a night out for dinner and a musical, for example, the answer's the same - it is a pain keeping the skirt from blowing around and still maintaining the beautiful, well-dressed image.

However, if I'm dressed for a more casual, fun-loving day with my main man, and the wind was causing my skirt to blow up around my ..... well, let's just say that a little 'peep show' caused by the wind certainly never hurt, and it would give both he and I a thrill! In fact, I think that he would enjoy helping (or not?!) trying to keep the skirt from blowing around!!

wind

I don't mind holding down my dress in the wind so long as I have one free hand, the other holding a purse.
Happiness is dressing to your innermost desire and feeling.

I hadn't been out too long and one evening I went to a locval establishment with a couple of other gurls. I remember I had on this cute black and white polka dot very full skirt with black pantyhose under it. Well not to make a long story any longer I had a few too many (thankfully we had a designated driver) and we all decided to go down to the docks and take a walk in the moonlight. I remember we started walking, some fatser than others, when suddenly the wind picked up. I could feel my skirt rustling but like I said I had a couple of drinks and didn't think much about it. The next thing I heard was some laughter and one of the girls behind us shout out "Karen you should have worn black panties, not white!" It was then I realized the wind had my skirt fluttering in the air and my undies there for all to see. It was probably a good thing I was a bit tipsy or I would have been embarrased to death, I just laughed and did the best I could. Nowadays I am very careful how full a skirt I wear when it is breezy.

windy day

It happens to all of us at one time or another. Not much we can do about the wind, just hope we have a free hand to hold it down, or we are not to embarrassed about what we are wearing underneath if it does blow up.

Amen Anne. I drive a convertible and if I don't make sure my skirt is tucked under me when the top is down it just flaps in the breeze.
