Hi all,
I have a question. At what points do GG's stop wearing boots? Is it around springtime?
This coming Friday evening, I'm going to go out to see a movie en-femme with a couple of CDers (the movie (still playing): Transamerica.

surprise, right? lol). I'm finally starting to feel a little less sore from my hernia operation from last week and by this Friday I should even feel better. I'm going to wear some women's jeans and a top as I don't want to stick out but I have a hunch the boots may be noticeable (spring season). Am I correct? If so I guess I can always wear my lady's sneakers. Thanks.

Hi, Steffie -
I am glad to hear that you are feeling better after your surgery!
Gosh, Steffie, it's been so long since I've worn boots, let me think! <she says, scratching the top of her head> Well, even in winter I rarely wore boots with my jeans (except Western boots!), but I would presume most GG's stop wearing boots when spring arrives.
Personally, I would wear the sneakers with the jeans and top - that is always in style and I guarantee that you would not 'stick out' in that outfit. The boots, however, are iffy, and I would only consider wearing them if the weather suddenly changed back to 'winter'.

I'm still wearing boots (knee length with a three inch chunky heel) and will continue to do so until it is well and truly Spring! That's because I love my boots, not that it's particularly cold.
I personally never wear sneakers out, only to work or walking the dog, because I feel short in them. I feel I look better wearing heels so tend to heels most of the time. (I make an exception for my pink timberland boots).
I hope you enjoy the film, I've not seen it yet, though I do intend to!
Love,
Curly

You are very welcome, Steffie! I hope you're not even more confused now?!!
The saying is "Great minds think alike" - but we don't always think alike, do we, Curly?!!

Hi Girls,
I ended up wearing boots. I posted my experience under "Fun Stuff while CDing" section. It's kind of long but I did have a fun evening. Thanks.

Steffie -
I know I've told you before (in your 'skirts/dresses vs pants' post) - the most important thing is for YOU to be comfortable in what you choose to wear, as you will draw less attention to yourself and, therefore, blend in easier. You felt more comfortable wearing boots last night, didn't draw any undue attention, and that helped to make your whole evening more enjoyable!
I am so glad that you had a great time - - and that you were feeling well enough post-surgery to do all what you did!!
You rock, Steffie!
