Womanless Beauty Pageant

Post by Alice C »

My sister is an administrator at a local Hospital and she started dressing me up at an early age< shes 4 yrs older than me. Last night she called and asked if I would help with a charity event at her hospital, A womanless beauty contest ! My wife know about y preferences for dressing but isnt totally supportive but when she heard about this event, she said she'd support my effort.
A pageant would be a first time for me and sounds exciting and challenging.
Has anyone participated or attended one?
Thanks for your replies

Hi Alice

While ours is not a beauty pageant but a fashion show I am going thru the process right now. Practice is every two weeks - just shoes atm to learn the walk. Full dress rehearsal will be 15th March with the final show a week later in a party with SO's and friends invited. If all goes well we will be doing all again for Sparkle ( http://www.sparkle.org.uk/ ) in July when anyone is welcome to come watch us.

So far, apart from aching calves, its been great fun.

All I can do to advise you is to go for it, its fun!

Have fun!

I've not been to one, but one of the local high schools had one during their grad night party when my daughter graduated.

I helped my mom & grandma's church out with one, for it's 100th anniversary. I had a blast, hung out before & after it was over and helped with the concession/food after the pageant too.

During the 'interview', I was asked 'What would your perfect man be?'

I answered 'Pastor Kenny!'

Sitting in the audience, I saw him turn about 50 shades of red.

Not quite...

I have a Fashion Bug store that I frequent and naturally the sales ladies know both of me. Various Fashion Bugs have the customers sign up to do fashion shows in the stores and then they give the participants a decent discount. I've seen one of the shows and you certainly don't need to be a model or a runway queen. The girls were having fun and it was fun to watch. Anyway, the sales ladies have tried several times to get me to participate, but I'm still not ready for quite that exposure. I'm outgoing, but not quite ready for a stage I guess.

I want to wish you the funnest of times. It's going to be scary, but you will easily survive and you're going to feel great after you finished. If you have low confidence, this will boost it wonderfully. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the attention. Everyone watching wants you to have as good a time as they will.

I used to belong to the Elks Lodge and the chapter I was with used to have an annual event where the wives would dress up their husbands in drag and the husbands then walked the runway. Each was judged in their appearance, makeup, and walk. The winner got a FREE dinner at a local swanky restaurant. Each contestant had to pay a fee and all the money went to a local charity. We always seem to have more than enough contestants. After the contest, there was a dance, where all the contestants were to mingle with the crowd still dressed. Also the more dances the contestants made the more money was donated.
