I had an appointment with my neurologist, so to cheer myself up, I went shopping afterwards.

I spent close to 200 bucks today, most of it in a local Cato shop, and both sales clerks I dealt with went 'above the call of duty', not just suggesting other items and whatnot, it wasn't all in the sales pitch on accessories, they both seemed genuinely interested in why I was buying what I did, it was as if I was playing a tennis match with a game of 20 questions on the other side.

So, because those two were friendly & helpful, I grabbed a comment card on my way out, as I bade the both of them farewell, filled it out and dropped it in the mail. I filled out another one, on-line when I got home, saying basically the same thing.

So, if you've been the recipient of good service, let the higher-ups know about their kind & tolerant employees working near you.

MIchelle

I am glad you had a good trip, I too always praise good service where ever I meet it and I know my written comments have got through to the people concerned,

It takes little effort for us to show our appreciation. It can have a major positive effect on the good people who have helped you too.

On the other hand I can and will complain in terms that are directly proportional to the transgression, this normally makes me feel good but I doubt the recipient of my ire feels quite so good.

Best wishes
Susan

Yes tell the Sales Staff if they were helpful

I try to get a nice card and some candy or such.. Dropped off such the other day for the help I got at Lane Bryant. Got 2 shirts and Jeans ordered. Went back the next day and they talked me into a TShirt Bra. Got one and ordered one.

Over Christmas I got 4 of the staff $25 gift cards from WallyWorld. Wish I could have afforded one for everyone. But I try to drop off things they can place in the Breakroom and share.

2lb of Whitman Sampler
2lb Fudge

Ok not the best thank you for somone plus sized.

It was very nice getting fitted for Bra. I got tired of the Jiggle (48b) and show thru under shirts. Bouncing on my Exercise not fun.

Can't wait until 19 March and I plan on ordering or buying 2 more. Use my "Real Woman" Dollars. I wonder if it matters that I am not a "Real Woman". Ha ha

Anyway fun shopping.

Agreed - especially if it comes to CD'er specialty shops.

There are a few local places here in the Chicago area that specialize in the CD/TG market, and while in some cases they offer the same thing you could get on Amazon, what you don't get is the service or the knowledge.

I agree completely with earlier posts.
I have in the past sent e-mails to head office to highlight the great service I received in a particular store from a particular saleswoman. And I have given personal "thank you's" (gift certificates, flowers or cards) when I was well treated.

I always shop either in drab, or semi-drab (ie, bra and forms in, womens jeans, but guy shoes and jacket - so a guy to the casual onlooker) and then ask if I can try on femme garments in the store. Many sales assistants just point to the dressing room and say no more, a few are happy to give opinions and make suggestions - those are the ones I reward!

I try to support local stores as best I can - there is a lingerie store in my village that has been very good to me - so I always buy my wife gifts from there so I can give them as much business as possible.
