Just playing around!
Sometimes I am just far too serious, or so I think. I write in my journal (password protected zip disks) about all the thoughts that float about in my head, you may have read a few of these posts on the forum. And I probably try to hard to understand all my thoughts and emotions as they relate to cross-dressing.
But today I just played around with a fantasy. If you read my post about how I started cross-dressing you will know that it all began at the age of 13, and to save you the math, that was 1961. And in some ways time stopped that year. So my picture of style, grace and beauty are shaded by my early childhood years in the 1950’s.
With this thought, here is my image of the prettiest face I could imagine having (this was a 1950 advertisement for deodorant).

And if I could pick out my favorite dress to wear it would be exactly like this one (this was a 1954 ad for laundry detergent).

I am proud of this picture, in its original form she did not have a left foot, the one you see was a copy of her right foot rotated, mirrored, and pasted in place.

The bottom dress is great. As for styles that we tend to stick with for when dressed I must say (now that I think about it) that I go for the early 90's look with the bodysuits and leggings. That was around the time I was 13.

Hi Elle,
Oh, that dress is soo pretty. I really love the shirt waist dresses of the fifties and sixties. If only I had the figure to fit in them properly. I feel they pass the most feminine images. If I keep losing weight like I am right now, I should fit in one by 2008!!
Please keep bringing such memories to the forum. I love them even though I lived them.

I am fortunate enough to fit into my late mother's wardrobe that includes several homemade 50s-60s dresses - not as fancy as some of the high fashion ones, but well made and still in good shape. She made herself this style of dress until the late 70's - my shorter petticoat is just the right length with them and the skirts are just full enough for it, even though she DIDN'T wear them with one (at least I never found one at that time in the late 50s and early 60s)

visit this page to see a "reproduction" I did (with original graphics) of an insert I found in a pair of vintage stockings. (I love vintage stockings)
