i usually wear womens jeans, some sort of nylons, and canvas mary-janes out. i'm dying to wear my open-toed sandels with nylons and painted toe nails. on a different post someone said mixed dressing was a step on her path to becoming a full time dresser. i don't want to be a women full time but would like to dress with friends and go on outings, etc. i don't want to be confronted while mixed dressed or fully dressed. currently i can't physically 'pass' but it's a goal. is mixed dressing a 'statement' of ' i like woman's cloth's, and that's what i'll wear, or a need to be as female as possible? bobby

mixing up your clothes can mean whatever you want it to. It can mean, I'm wearing these jeans 'cause they makes my butt look good, to I love the color of this top, or I'm just mowing the lawn so didn't want to wear anything very nice................
The need to "pass" is really only in your own attitiude. Is that something important to you or do you feel like you will be harrassed if you don't? I never really try to pass, sometimes I get close enough that without looking too hard people take me for a woman. Mostly they don't.
I have sort of a feeling that if you're trying to pass, but you really have no honest desire to BE a woman, and just like wearing cute clothes, then you're not being completely honest about yourself. If one really feels themselves to be a woman, then wearing women's clothes isn't crossdressing, and being viewed as a woman is very important to who they feel they are. It's really about who you want to be.
I wear any combination of men's and women's articles that look good together and meet the functional requirements of what I need to do. My preference is to wear cute and stylish things, but that's not always practical and sometimes I just have to tolerate jeans and work boots. So then I wear a cute bra and matching panties :)

Bobby, IMHO you can go out and about in any mix that you feel comfortable in. I go out dressed in a variety of modes from all male, mixed male/femme attire, to full femme. What I wear and how I wear it depends a lot on what I am doing and where I am doing it.

If you want to be viewed as a woman when out and about then you need to be dressed like those that are around you. But having the right clothing style is only part of it. You need to be ok with what you are doing between your ears also. IMHO "passing" is more mental then looks, as if you are ok with what you are doing it comes out in your attitude and vibes you give off. Do GG's have to "pass". No they just are and know they are. But IMHO some GG's have trouble visually looking as a GG as they have many masculine features..

You say you do not want to be confronted. Well you could be confronted about something in male mode. And if you are out and about in mixed mode or full femme you will be confronted sooner or later. Sooner most likely if you are in mixed mode. But how others will deal with it IMHO will start with how you are dealing with it. If you are ok with what you are doing between your ears, then others will in general deal with it better than if you hesitate and are unsure about what you are doing.

Go forth and enjoy,
