Duck faces...

So I'm 18 years old, I'll be 19 in less then a month and all the girls my age make whats called "the duck face" for pictures. This is essentially making a face that puts emphasis on your lips. I always thought it was kindof silly. Well I conformed and I love the way it looks. Ooops, oh well. Anyone else ever make "the duck face" for a picture?

Its true, most girls think the duck face is rad, but personally I think its kind of silly although on you it looks kinda nice.

I'll try to not pass judgment on what 18 year olds do. With tramp stamps, lip or tongue piercings, at least a duck face is not permanent disfigurement. Ask yourself, does it really look good?

I noticed that Miley Cirus has been doing that recently, probably in an attempt to get the younger gals to emulate her. Doesn't appear to working yet, if they prefer a duck face instead.

I dunno bout no duck face, it looks more like a kissy face to me -- puckered up like you gonna plant one on granma's cheek.

Myself, I doubt seriously if a duck face or a kissy face could be any worse than the puss I have now.

A duckface is just a poorly executed kissface, where the muscles nearer to the chin are needlessly used and therefore distort the kiss. Kisses and kissy faces in photos can be really cute (such as your lovely avatar, Baylee ), but should only be used on occasion.

Thanks for all the replies, and the compliments! And yeah, I don't know what it is, but the kissie face-look, I think suits me. I absolutely hate my smile. I look like I'm constipated or something lol.

A duck face looks more like a duck face if the duck facer has really thin lips. Baylee, your lips look too full to pull of the proper duckalike. A slight kissy face may suit you best. Hard to tell with one photo.
Oh, and clean up your room! We can see your undies on the floor.

I heard a couple of girls nattering maybe a year ago. One said to the other that "Kiera Knightly pouts like a duck". I can see what they were saying, in that she has a kind of "sexy" look with her lips held just so. But also it was a very teenage girl kind of put-down - and said a lot about their jealousy of her.

Maybe your smile is like that, Baylee, because you've got all this girl stuff inside you that hasn't had the chance to be expressed. Like dress up some more and see what happens.
