Re: Michelle + hotel for 2 nights.
I would hope that Dave's assets are separate from your wife's. He's an adult and should live as he likes, even if he will be broke soon. Still, concern for family, even dumb family, is natural.
10 days! I can see Joanne's point of escaping reality into a alternate, make believe. You should do this, in support of your wife if nothing else. Such a sacrifice! Since I first read this topic, I broached the idea to my husband. We're both still too chicken to do a dinner out, much less a weekend. I do like the idea though. Thanks for the inspiration, Joanne!
I don't think you have much to fear in making mistakes, you'll be too self-conscious to do so. Maybe after you get home you'll accidentally pop into the lady's loo down at the pub.

Michelle,
Wow... 10 days FT. I know that it is like a dream for most CD. But unless you are very well used to spend time in public and being almost FT already, something tells me that you risk some unexpected overexposure on the personal level. I may be wrong, but talking only from personal experience, when I have had the chance to spend long periods of time enfemme... it can become more of a chore than a joy. Akin of when parents would find the pack of cigarettes in the child's bedroom and force them to chain-smoke the whole pack. 10 days is a very long time...
I hope it will work out for you two. I also hope that the issues with your BIL will be resolved!
Good luck!
Gaby

I too hope that the brother in law issue is resolved - hopefully as soon as possible!
Ten days en femme would be a dream for most of us, I'm sure. I know it would for me... but it does sound like a long time. Two days - no problem! Ten days? How are you feeling about it, Michelle? Feeling up to the challenge?

Re: Michelle + hotel for 2 nights.
Michelle,
I can tell you from personal experience that if you do decide to go as Michelle and stay en femme for 24 hours a day for 10 days straight you will find it hard to revert back to male mode.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to be en femme for 3 weeks straight 24 hours a day, no male clothes what so ever and I so enjoyed myself being able to be the woman I want to be. Now even though I didn't go to a hotel or a restaurant I did go to some stores and it was exhilarating being treated as a woman.
So I say to you, if your wife wants to spend 10 days with Michelle and you want the experience of what is like to be an everyday woman, go for it and enjoy your female time.
Good luck and have fun.

Re: Michelle + hotel for 2 nights.
Definitely do it!!! Why are you still even debating the issue????
Your wife wants you to, and it's the opportunity of a lifetime. This is one of those things that the two of you will remember forever. And I don't want you just sitting around the hotel lounge too afraid to go out. Go the to theatre, go dancing, go to the museums and shopping!! A lot of shopping! 10 days in London is awesome!
So you're nervous, and scared and don't know what might happen. Heck girl, that's just life. Put on your big girl panties and go for it.
First of all, if you don't bring a stitch of guy clothes along (don't even think about doing it) you won't make any mistakes. You won't be tempted to to chicken out, you won't have the option thinking that you can't do it, you'll just do it. Every morning you get dressed you will have to go through the routine of picking out an outfit and getting ready. And after the first 2 days you will find that your only problem is an insufficient selection of outfits and you need to go shopping.
Secondly your wife is with you. If she sees anything out of place she will let you know. Remember all the times she asked you "how do I look?" and you just said "fine." Well now you get to find out that it's really helpful to have someone else look over your outfit before you step out the door.
You're going to be fine. It will be a bit nerve wracking for the first day, but then you will love it. This is something you and your wife will be able to remember and share forever. Your bank account might take a hit from all the shopping, but hey, would you rather spend your money on dresses, shoes, lingerie, handbags, theatre tickets, and having a great time, or a $200k house in Alaska.
In case you don't go, I have a really amazing investment opportunity for you. It's a ranch in western Wyoming, list price is $1.5 million, but special deal, just for you my friend, of only $300K .....
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Seriously though, do not let this chance go by.

Re: Michelle + hotel for 2 nights.
Agree with the above none of my business but definitely his share of the inheritance is or should be completely separate from your wife's, When my mom died we all got our separate shares to pair with our personal life savings.
Yes on a local real estate broker for a search and yes to reporting it to the police as a suspicious possibly endangered missing person.
On the 10 days....well enjoy it. There will be nothing to change into so you may experience the clothing as women do as just clothing, and because of your presentation the need for make up and jewelry.... just do it and don't think about it and it should be fine. I bet it will be an enjoyable experience and may bring you out even more...so what.

Re: Michelle + hotel for 2 nights.
So sorry to hear about all the strife and fuss with your brother-in-law, I agree with with some of the other ladies, I would be filing a report, and make a serious attempt to locate the house. While he is an adult and is entitled to his own life you need to know he is okay.
As far as going to a hotel and having to be Michelle for the entire time absolutely go and enjoy a girls weekend away.
I would love it if my wife gave we a choice like that.

Re: Michelle + hotel for 2 nights.
I reckon Dave could be dead, or in hiding, thus not wanting to share contact info due to his being AWOL.
So, do you contact the authorities and let them do a search, or write him off (hopefully temporarily) and let the cards fall where they may?
As for the hotel stay, is your wife still adamant that you remain Michelle for the whole time? Given the added time, I would think you could work out a compromise. Maybe take some guy clothes, but leave your wife in charge (lock and key) of them?
That way you could give the experience an honest try.
You may find that your fears are for naught.

Re: Michelle + hotel for 2 nights.
Hello wonderful ladies.
Do you know I just realised something---- I really am lucky to be part of such a wonderful caring group of girlfriends, thanks.
Well a few things have happened here recently firstly on the BIL front. Yes my wife and he do have separate accounts so there's nothing he can do with her money. I tried a web search for houses sold on the point within the price range he said but none match his description of high on the point looking over Cook Inlet and seeing Mt Redoubt across the inlet, only house on 4 acres. I'm gonna be frank here for a minute. Dave is such a damn liar we can't believe anything he says. He might have given away 50% of his portfolio and was worried Joanne would chew him out about it so he reduced the amount.
We heard from Joannes step sister that her Christmas card and newsletter was returned marked "not at this address" so he hasn't put in a change of address with the post office. This isn't the only time he's vanished. Many years ago he was gone for almost 6 years without a word. Turns out he was bumming his way round the south west odd jobbing and getting into some serious drug &*%$ which is why now after years of hard drinking and drugs he's pickled his liver and his blood pressure is through the roof.
We called the Alaska State Troopers (no dedicated local force where he's supposed to be) but without a current address, phone, tag number or photo they said their wasn't much they could do. I checked the court records and at least he's not in jail and the local hospitals in Homer and Anchorage haven't anyone by the name or description.
Okay now more fun things. We've both agreed that for a first time out 10 days 24/7 en-femme might be a bit hard to maintain. So I'm going to check in in drab and get changed in the suite. it has a bedroom, sitting room and private terrace. Joanne did have a good point though she said we could use the Paddington railway station entrance to miss 80% of the lobby traffic and just walk round the station concourse and do some shopping just to see how I fair.
Ralista said to bring only woman’s clothing. A good idea but not feasible, you see we're going from the hotel in London to Heathrow and the flight back to the US. I have to bring guy clothes as there's no way Michelle is ready to take on airport security I don't have a problem with them finding woman's clothes, shoes, forms and makeup in my bags but preferably not on me
Well it's almost 2:45am here it's been a long day of packing and deciding what to toss and what to donate so I'm going to wish you all a good night. I'm off to the bathroom to remove my makeup and get ready for bed......night all!!
Love to all,
Michelle.
