Up here in ND it seems like we have to wait a couple extra months for spring to get here. But finally we've had some really great weather.
So I was looking in my closet and there's a dozen dresses that I've hardly ever worn because I've been waiting for the right occasion. Finally I decided that I don't need no special occasion, I can do what the heck ever I want!!
So I've been wearing one or another of my summer dresses for planting the garden, pruning the plum bushes, burning brush piles, mowing the lawn and pretty much anything else. I bought a nice Liz Claiborne dress a couple weeks goat the second hand store for $15, and it seems too nice to wear for planting the garden. But I reasoned, what's the worst that can happen? Maybe I get it stained beyond help, then I guess I'll have to go buy more!!
It's crazy what one can get a really nice dress for, and at prices like that there is no sense letting it just hang in the closet.
Sometimes my arms and legs get a bit scratched up, but it's worth it.
Spring FINALLY!!!!

Re: Spring FINALLY!!!!
I have some 3.75" sandals coming in the mail...the old ones are worn out. Now as to gardening in high fashion...there are appropriate dresses to garden in and even they would probably have an apron of some kind.... Gaw I would never wear my really pretty stuff for yard work...I even have short and t's and tennis shoes for that!!!
Go with the flow

Ralitsa, I agree I have so many dresses and no place to wear them.

Re: Spring FINALLY!!!!
We had spring here, for a couple of days. Now we just have 100 days of 90's and 100's to endure. Time to put the long sleeve stuff away and dig out the sleeveless stuff. Way too hot to garden, or even to mow, not to mention my allergies to grass and trees.
Hugs,
Bernice

Re: Spring FINALLY!!!!
Winter has come to my part of the world today. So now I am getting out the warmer clothing.
We had a very warm autumn this year with the driest and hottest May on record. Hence the summer clothing is now only being put away.
I hope that you all enjoy wearing your lite and frilly apparel during your warmer months.

Hope your winter was shorter than ours was.
