Gelinda, don't let Stef BS you, she get's looks because she is a Hottie! I keep reminding her that most models are very tall. It's her looks and personality that turns heads. If you meet her you would know what I mean. She's just a Doll.
Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great. ~ Mark Twain

Hi Kersten,
I didn't get a chance to read your article until this morning.
Wow! What a suite of posts by you describing your excellent outing. That make up person was really a star! I've never heard of any gal at a makeup counter coming right out and saying that. Good for you!
I love this thread and I'm in the boat with everyone else who is looking forward to hearing more!!
The other thing that was cool was how Gelinda and Stef started talking about the height thingy. I'm about 6'2". So I could relate. I have heels at home that I wear, but heels I wear out are shorter. I prefer boots though. Darned summer.
Someone said on this forum once they went out with a tall CD'd friend and someone said out loud, "That's one tall woman!"
That was very therapeutic for me. It changed my thoughts enough that I no longer worry about that one. I'm more worried now about just being seen by someone I know. I run from fear to fear.
I think my next big outing will be when I attend a Southern Comfort conference. That sounded really contained and controlled. I'll talk about this somewhere else.
I am just happy about your posts and the posts inside the thread about height.

Thanks for starting this one!!!

Kersten,
Thanks for the up date. I know when I went to my local MN "Charlotte" the lady that helped me (I must apologize - I was en drab and did not mention I was a CD) probably for the best as there were three other women in the shop who gave me "the eye" just for being there I guess. Anyway, she gave me a triangular sponge to use to put on the cover-up I bought, it really makes a difference as opposed to using your fingers, for foundation as well. What i have read is to use a "loose powder" first then foundation and or cover-up. I have ordered a 'sampler: from a website called "ColorTration" 6 shades for $14.00. It came highly recommended from a TS who may not be quite a prretty as Stef, but I think she has been doing this for a long time. She says it is the best she has found, light, but covers fantastic! I will let you know how it works.
Stef!!!! 6'4" as pretty as you are and at that altitude, I now understand why you get the looks. Since I went to Tenn Tech I kinda know my way around Nashville, I may come to see you and get some pointers.
Love you girls!!!
Deborah
