Dear Sisters,
Others have mentioned this before, but I think it is worth repeating. The Southern Comfort Conference (link: Southern Comfort Conference) will be held in Atlanta in a few weeks. For those who are hesitant to get “out & about” much, this is an excellent opportunity to do so. There are plenty of activities for novices (as well as for the bolder veterans among us), and there will be enough CDs in attendance to essentially rule out any harrassment or danger. If I am not mistaken, last year the attendance was about 200 in the early part of the week, up to about 350 by Friday, and about 450 on Saturday. It is headquartered at the Sheraton Hotel, whose management is CD-friendly. Besides lunches and dinners in a large, rather pleasant dining room, there are numerous seminars and organized activities. Finally, unless you happen to live in Atlanta, you are far from the prying eyes of work associates, neighbors, and anyone else from whom you might wish to shield your love of CDing. (Let’s remember now, old Mabel Looselips down the block, bless her heart, does like to gossip, and if she saw a familiar face with some unfamiliar clothing ... well, you get the picture!)
