No so new store

Post by Virginia »

A Thread developed about TG/CD friendly stores. I was in a store yesterday that kind of "shocked" me. I like to shop at Burlington Coat Outlets as they have what I think are good prices and a large selection. Yesterday I was in a Cato's (I think it is a small chain located mainly in the south) and there selection is not quite that of Burlington Coat, but there prices are less by a substantial amount. I did not get to talk to the staff about TG/CD but price wise if you have one in your area you might want to check it out. I picked up a pretty pair of ear rings and bracelet for about half what they would have cost as Burlington Coat.

Hi Virginia,

Thanks for the recommendation. :) I have one close to me, I think I'll give it a look-see. :)

Debenhams in the UK is good for budget price coats.
I prefer to shop in Long Tall Sally though, the cut is much better for the male figure, sleeves are longer and the overall fit is better.

I think you found out what a GG friend told me some time ago, the Burlington is actually not as inexpensive as they want you to think. I find that Value City is an inexpensive place to shop. However, you can't count on the things they advertise being there, you just have to go in and brouse. Often you will find somethig that you want at a great price! I'll have to try Cato's, they're everywhere around here!

Hi Lisa,
Yes I think there would be some Cato's in the tidewater area. I guess the big difference is that Cato's does not have the selection that Burlington has. I am going out today to find a nice fur coat as I am going to our "support group" Christmas dinner Saturday night. It will be such fun. I am going to wear a red turtle neck sweater and a pretty off-white knit skirt and thigh high black swede boots.
Love,
Virginia

Hey Virginia,

Won't forget you tomorrow night. Will toast you and your wife's health.

I've lost so much weight (48 lbs) I should be able to wear one of my wife's old coats by now :)

I just hope the gown still fits! Checked them out at Hecht's last night, just in case. They had an 18 but not a 20 and mine is a 22.

Your outfit sounds delish. Make sure to wear a slip 8-[

Get some pictures taken for the gallery, I know I will!

Have fun too! Love ya,

Back on subject . . .

Fashion Bug and Fashion Bug Plus also appears to be TG friendly. The one near me does anyway!

When I bought a couple of tops, the sales lady asked if I was interested in some boots that were on sale.
