Ah! History

Post by Virginia »

This afternoon my pre-op friend Brandi and her son came over and I was boring her with some family pictures - some that go back to the early, early 1900' - NO NOT OF ME!!!!!!, but grandmother and my mother, who not only did I steal their names, I.e Virginia Irene, but I was blessed to be able to swim in their gene pool! They were both drop dead georgeous ladies. Anyway in the course of lookng through the albums I came across of picture of seven little gypsy girls in a school play -- and right there in front with bright red lipstick, head scarf and tamborine - yes, yours truly!!! I had forgotten all about that play until today, could not have been more than 7 or 8 at the time. As I allowed my memory to open up it all came flooding back (isn't our mind a wonderful thing?) anyway, I remember the play, all the parents watching, my dancing around with my skirt flying and beating on that tamborine and just feeling marvelous. To young for it to have any sexual overtones, but just a feeling of "hey this feels right!" Brandi picked me out before I could - prettiest one in the group she said! Good genes I said!
Ah youth! If I only had it to do over - but only if I could take my "earned" knowledge back with me!
Love,
Virginia

Wasn't it that great philosopher, Mike Tyson, who said, "Old too soon, smart too late"? :?

Pretty cool, Virginia.

I wish we had master keys to unlock the things in our minds. I wonder why it is that some people appear to have total recall of their childhood, and some of us can only recall small events?

I can remember within a couple of years when I first had to opportunity and CDed, and have not to long ago, recalled that several years before that was when I first had the urge to CD.

I know this may not have to do with CDing but I rememmber as a small child camping with my parents (when they where together) we would take my (our cat) with us any way there was a time where 3 large dogs where aproaching me and my cat got in the middle of them and me scarring them off. It is one of more powerful memories as a small child.
