Out to CD Meeting with Wife

Hey girls,

This last Saturday was good. My wife finally decided to go to a second CD meeting with me (1st time she has gone with me to a meeting since August when I first went). I am happy to report that unlike the 1st one, this time she said she had a great time there.

This one was CDM (Chi Delta Mu) for North Jersey. She also added that she will go to future meetings as long as they are as good as this one. She even added that maybe someday she will go out with me in public (i.e. movie, restaurant, shopping) again but to give her time. That's cool with me. Obviously a far cry from a couple of weeks ago. We'll see what happens but at least that's encouraging.

She was so into the meeting (she even liked the food there) that when they were nominating new officers for it (president, vice-president, etc.), my wife, when one of the meeting heads asked for a Secretary, turns to a CD across the table and says: "Nominate her" while pointing to me! This was a shock to me. lol So despite my inexperience (only came out in August and went out like 5 whole times), I'm now involved in a CD group hierchy! Whooodathunk it. My wife thinks it would be good if I got more involved; so I'll try my best and see what happens. Anyway that was the total evening. Just thought I'd share it.

That's great Steffie. Good for you and your wife! As I can attest, the support of our wives can move mountains. Be prepared though for the little setbacks that may come along but with her by your side, you will always have something to build on. Good luck.

Congratulations, crossdresser and a politician! We probably need more of that

Now, I have to agree with Stephanie, be prepared for some setbacks. We all think it is great that your wife is involved with you and that is critical, but it is still something that GG's just dont' seem to be able to get their minds around what we are driven to be!
Remember, do not ever force the issue and "small steps!"

Hi Steffie--
I like hearing about your wife's willingness to participate again. You may get that chance to go out in flats and a longer skirt after all. Wise advice from the ones above, too, about expecting setbacks. I have done the same thing to girlfriends--gone overboard in accepting something they did, and then having to make adjustments later on. It happens to people.

Stephie, Congratulations. Isn't that Wonnerful !!! ( like having Bobby and Sissy doing a number!). Being elected, but to have such A WIFE!!!! , I can't imagine how this makes you feel that you and your wife had such a good time a CD meeting. Very good advie from the other girls .
