Brought a CD friend to the mall during daytime

Post by Steffie »

Hi girls,

I didn't do anything really earth shattering Friday. A CD friend and I went to the mall yesterday during the day. It was her first time at a mall and en-femme during the daytime. Usually she only goes out after dark. We had a good time, went through a lot of stores like Victoria Secret, Payless and Claire's (for clip-on earrings) among others. All the sales ladies were nice to us. When we went to Nordstrom's to the ladies shoes section, one of the girls there remembered me when I shopped there a few weeks ago. :) The mall experience was great. The only people that were not nice were these teenage girls we passed. They didn't say anything to us but you could tell they were eyeing us. One then tried to take our picture with her camera phone but was trying to be sneaky about it. We knew what she was up to though and every time she aimed her phone at us at a distance I would duck behind a post or behind another person. lol She never did get our picture. lol My friend and I actually thought of going up to her, handing her my digital camera and saying: "Here hun, this camera will take a better pic>" but we decided not to. However, we got a good laugh out of it. So even when we run into people that stare, we can still have fun. :) Most people are nice or don't care though.

Afterward, we grabbed a quick bite (I had a salad as when en-femme I'm more conscious of my figure lol) and we even used the ladies room. Come to think of it, we went in pairs (like GG's always do lol).

My friend afterward had a family gathering to prepare for; so she left for home. I still wanted to be Steffie so I went to a few other places to shop (I got some great jeans/slacks at Marshall's) and then went by myself to a mainstream club. The music wasn't as great as it usually is in other places but it wasn't terrible either. I left club at about 1:00 A.M. (early for me lol) and went to a diner and got some soup and a Greek salad. I then went near home, took off my wig and boots and snuck back in my house. I put on my VS pajamas and went to bed.

Tonight I finally return to NYC for the first time in a while! :) To be continued....

What is it that I have always said?! In a mall or anywhere that you may find teenage girls, they will try and out "us" not only to the immediate vicinity, but some will extend it to another zip code. You have to remember, they are subconsciously seeking roll models, they evidently don't know that they are doing this but they tend to scrutinize everything female in an effort to find something that they can possibly relate and grow into and if we happen to cross their radar and we don't pass, well it is a new experience for them and they, being teenagers, are overtly curious and well --------- you have to deal with it in the best way that suits you!
Just be wary, girls, teenage girls are truly our biggest competitors if you will!
Love,
