Did anyone catch the Monster Garage last night? I was surprised to see one of the build team persons was a girl. Obviously one of us a one time. Her name was Pippin I believe. She held up her end of the bargain and worked her backside off as good as any I've seen. It was very rewarding to see that the other team guys were so cool with her being there and doing her part. Even Jesse commented about how good she performed and how much he liked her. It was very cool. Some very good national exposure for sure.
I also noticed she had a wooden leg and many of the guys joked around with her using it as a prybar. All done in good taste and fun. She stood her ground and gave as good as she got. Makes me wonder about getting a gang of us together and doing the whole show as the drag team. On the other hand I am not that brave I guess. Also getting the time off would be diffucult.
Hmmm.. I just re-read. The thread title says t-girl, but your post says girl. Was she a t-girl? That would be AMAZING! If so, I'll see if I can record the repeat.
Hi Beauty, I do not know her "sexual orientation" for sure. They never really dwelled on the subject long enough for me to figure out. She had white hair in a pony tail, either red lipstick or tatooed lips, definately breasts or breast implants, mascara, talked and worked like a garage mechanic, and had a wooden leg. Jesse referred to Pippin as "her". The show just sort of had her there working as a exceptional team mate and did not dwell on the subject very long. She had some gifted talent for car body styling and was very well known in her field.
She is not the only one I know doing this out in the open. A girl in Florida once a technical dive instructor and x-marine from Nam decided to swich gears and is now working for the fed government with a grant and also carries her work into the manufacturing areas in Chicago. She claims that she is accepted by the working class guys very well. Her work involves studying plasma.
I think we will see more and more of this exposure as time goes by and maybe someday see it widely accepted. We could only be lucky to live long enough to see it and experience it first hand.
I did not get to post on this. I love the show and tape it so I can watch it on Tuesday's. I was amazed to see a TG person on the show. I did love the fact that when she was pulling a part out the remote control car that she was wearing capris.
