I wore short shorts to eye doctor today, I needed to make a return visit because a measuremnt was needed to be verified. I was compliments on my legs, attire, and eyewear. I just adore compliements.

We do get bolder as we get older. I find myself, more and more, considering answering the door dressed. I know one day I will. I will now compliment a lady on her clothes and I was scared to do that before.

I'm defiantly bolder as I get older and the sad part is that I don't look as good as I did years ago. There aren't a lot of GG's that look hot at my age so it's that much harder but I need to do this and I ain't getting any younger. I don't hide things from my family like I used to. I want to go out fully dressed some day but it'll have to be far from home.

I know I have gotten bolder for sure! A lot bolder! I wish I was this bold when I was in my early 20's, oh the fun I could have had. But I think the invention of the Internet has given us access to information and support that might fuel or new found boldness. I think the younger cd's have a lot of advantage. Hopefully they have the boldness to run with it.

Lexi,
The only thing that to me seems to be a problem for "young CD'ers" is that in this day and age, GG's dress like men for the most part. Nothing feminine in today's everyday female fashions. So I guess panties and a bra are the "big time" for most.
Long live the 50's!!

Me too, being 43 that is, and I have been much bolder as time goes on. I'm still not to the point where I would go outside en femme, but I do wear more underneath than before, and not concerned if I leave some nail polish on that people could notice. I hope to make it to my 70's too, as I hear that women such as ourselves look better as we age., but I'd also like to get to the point where I'm comfortable goin outside dressed, as I get so jealous seeing what women are able to wear. Guys clothing is so boring!Carla Michelle wrote::D Well I'm only 43 now so Hopefully I've got a long ways to go. I hope I get to your exalted age someday.Wendae wrote:Carla Michelle... After 6 days in a cardiac unit and approaching 72 I know what you mean. This Wednesday I'll go see my shrink as Wendae and do some shopping after words.

It may be because we are running out of time.

I can understand where you're at Samantha, I was there once. Now though, I've decided to be open and honest about my transition, public as well with a youtube channel soon.
I have said, for a long time now, that I don't care what other people think of me and it is even more true now. Besides, what others think of me really is none of my business.

I sure do think so! I'm sometimes surprised how far I pushed my luck lately, going ot around the house and even in our street, a thing I never would have considered before. There must be a factor of " running out of time", one of "not caring what others would say or think" and maybe one of being just more careless.

Perhaps because we realize we are who we are..and it just comes naturally.Mány B wrote:I sure do think so! It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!

Before I will be too old (already past 60 now) I have a few things I would love to do at least once in my live. One of them would be to attend a TG event while being fully dressed; it's now or.....

Re: Do We Get Bolder As we grow older?
Yep, I have and finding that there are many people who are perfectly willing to accept who I am is just about the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have had lots of time to think everything through so that I understand and accept who I am with confidence. I am undeniably transgendered each new person who accepts me as the door swings open wider is indescribably wonderful and reassuring, cannot put the feelings into words.
I agree too with running out of time - at 57 I calculate 20-30 years and after a life long struggle I am determined no one has a right to shame me into the closet for being who I am I refuse to live that way any longer.

I tend to agree. Older the bolder. I am saying this as I am looking forwarded to my soon retirement and then I can have more fun being Requal.
