Hay Sophie, from how it was explained to me was every women has a different body shape. Tall, short, fat, skinny, etc. so the shape of your breast are different. You pick the style that best fits your body, I was luckie as I had the help of my wife. Carol Ann
Well for me, I think the teardorp fit my body better. That being said, I have triangular ones. I sold my teardrops to get real mastectomy forms and they happened to be triangular. They work fine, but I think the tear drops were better for me for creating cleavage using my own tissue. Everybody's body is different so that what works for me may not work for you.
Make a choice (don't spend a lot of time worrying about which is better, my guess is that either kind will be better than whatever you are using now), try them and as long as you don't spend a ton of money on them you will eventually get another pair. If you don't like the type you got, then get the other kind later.
On the other hand, if there is a store that sells mastectomy forms near you, you could go in and get a fitting. (I'd call first and see how comfortable they are with a CD and how comfortable you are with them.) I got fitted professionally for some forms years ago, they were the "swim" forms which can be used in a pool or the ocean. They are made by the same firm that makes the higher end forms, but these were much cheaper and were clear. They were more than the ebay forms I showed you, but I did get a professional fitting. There are also stores in England that cater to CD's and they all sell forms. You could look at them also. Their prices will also be higher than ebay, probably much, much higher for the same things. However, there is nothing stopping you from going in and trying them on. Let us know what you do.
I can't believe that they sold for $49.99, sure that's something like £30 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 49140&rd=1 That's the ones you showed me Lisa. I wanted to bid on them but I think they would take ages to get sent to me over here and I want them now lol
I'm thinking about getting these ones, what do you think?
If you go there and on Breastforms, they are the same ones as the ones above I think but they cost £110 I know it's a lot but I'd have them on Tuesday if I buy them this weekend
Pals are not the same as regular forms. They are for women and are placed over the breasts. The forms on the site are for men and are more substantial. You will probably like them much better. If you have the money and you have to have them soon, go for it. I'm sure you will be happy with whatever you get because the silicon is so lifelike.
Owww... They all look the same to me lol Thanks Lisa, I brought them ones on http://www.translife.co.uk in the end, and of course I ended up buying a few other things as well lol Thanks
I have a lil question about these breast forms, can you apply makeup to them so that they blend into your natural skin colour?
That would be cool if you could... also, lol this is funny, imagine if you was out or something and you had no bra on and one of them fell off lol sorry, I just find that a lil funny
Lisa,
I have two sets of "Pals" and they are marvelous! The ones that I have are the "teardrop" and regular. Both are relatively flat on the back side and I have not used any glue as I think if you have a properly fittted bra they should wear just fine. I wore mine on my boat over the week-end and they "bounced" just like the real thing but never got "out of place." I have seen the $300.00+ ones and I am sure they are nice, but my Pals work just fine. I did order a set of "naughty nipples" from the Breastform Store (got to support our sponsors) to see how they will work. I called the folks first and they are sooooo nice, they said I should not have a problem. The Pals have "built-in" nipples but don't quite present what I want - i.e., a conservatively sexy appearance. I will post how they work when I get them.
Love,
Deborah
First star to the right, then straight on 'till mornin!
I got my breastforms this morning, like 8 hrs ago but I still haven't worn them yet because I am waiting for someone to come over... anytime between 6am and 8pm them said! Knowing my luck it will be 7:55pm when they come over grrrrrrrrrrrrr I could always answer the door with my nice new breasts I suppose lmao
I did actually put on my strapless bra and quickly tried them on and owww, the feeling, veryyy nice! I also brought some tape and so I just wanna stick them on already! Can you put makeup on them edges to blend them in?
I've tried looking on sites but I can't find anywhere that says what can and cant be put onto breast forms?
Good for you, Carol Ann. I have yet to buy any really nice forms, and I would like to use the blouses I've bought that have a larger v-neck.
I need to find out who is comfortable with fitting CDs, because there's too much out there for me to want to order sight unseen. I also wonder about teardrop vs. triangle, for instance, and the pictures don't tell me much.

Today is the first time I've had my breastforms on for more then about 3 hrs and what I love about them so much is how they seem to go to the same temp as your body! Also everytime I rub my arms agaisnt my chest and press the breasts in I can feel it on my body almost as if it's real
