Hi girls,
I was at the mall yesterday, and as I was leaving there was a woman approaching the door as I was leaving, I exited holding the door and continued holding it until she was through it, but as she got to the door, instead of just going in and letting me hold the door for her, she took the door and thanked me, but had a very embarassed look on her face. She was in her mid fifties and dressed nicely, and was sincere in her thanks to me, but it clearly embarrassed her that I held the door for her.
I was hoping to avoid this very type of situation, but it looks as though it is just unavoidable, because it is just instinct to me to hold the door, I have been doing is since I was 10.
