Have you looked at Lands' End? I have several of their short & long sleeve crew neck tees. Going out fully dressed en femme is so much fun but it does take baby steps to get there. Starting out, I think you have a few ideas to get you going. When in boy mode, I always wear womens jeans (which surprisingly fit me far better than mens). No one would likely notice that. Then tops of a basic neutral colour such as black or navy will always attract less attention than reds or other bright colours. I have a few dark coloured mock turtle neck tops which are femme but are close enough to passing for a men's top that few, if anyone, would notice. Ditto for some shirts. Wearing something with buttons can be a giveaway but honestly, hardly anyone will notice that either.
Undergarments, the sky's the limit as no one sees them (except of course hospital staff if you were to have an accident) Bras, a little different because these can be a little obvious depending on what top you are wearing. I will only ever wear a bra during the cooler months when I can wear a thick sweater or coat. Less conspicuous.
Makeup, again by careful if you want your crossdressing to remain a secret. I have on occasion worn mascara (boy mode) but don't overdo it. Especially true with lipstick. A hint of lipstick is nice because you know you're wearing it but it should be subtle enough that no one else does. For anything else, stick with neutrals.
Earrings are pretty common so I doubt you'll have trouble there unless you opt for really long dangly ones.
Shoes come in endless styles but I would stick with something with a heel no higher than 1" and in a basic style and again in neutral colours. Thong sandals or flip flops are all the rage right now so you can have some fun with those next summer. You should be able to push the envelope with colours as there are so many to choose from.
If you're going to wear nail polish, stick with clear or neutral. That said, nail polish is probably the one thing that someone will notice. I'm living proof of that as I wear it 24/7.
All of the above should attract little attention but would give you the 'buzz' of being somewhat crossdressed. Sometimes, we like to be noticed so how far you go will depend on your comfort level. As that increases, you can graduate to more daring choices. I would only do it one piece at a time though and see how you go. Now if you choose all the options for one outing (no pun intended), there is a good chance you'll get a little more attention.
Whatever you choose, select your destination wisely. A quiet street is a good place to start, then perhaps a mall where most folks will be too busy shopping to even notice. Just avoid the obvious undesirable kinds of places and you'll do fine. Have fun.

I, also, have a desire to go out in public en femme more often. Am still working on getting to the point where I'll do it.
In the meantime, I've started wearing panties under my masculine clothing more often. I also occasionally wear a camisole. Love the feel of satin and lace. Also, I shave my legs periodically; love the feel with whatever I'm wearing. Previously, I've worn clear nail polish on my finger nails and a neutral color on my toenails. Have also trimmed and plucked my eybrows to a narrower, but not totally feminine style. I am now wearing a dark brown mascara almost every day; applied so as to not look clumpy. If anyone has noticed, they haven't said anything.
Some of the ideas the others have given you sound like fun. I may just try some of them too. Anyway, have fun with what ever you do.

Even I have been out in public in femme mode a few times, I am still curious about that. Well, I guess soon I will take a walk with my girlfriend, while en-femme completely.
Anyway, I often wear female items in male mode too. Of course panties, stockings and bras, but sometimes I add other items like female jeans etc. Those are not that obvious. Next step could be, to look for female shoes, that are flat and have a "uni-gender" design. I haven't found those shoes yet, as I didn't look for them carefully enough. But I tried pumps in public, even in male mode and from my experience no one really takes care, what type of shoes you wear. I haven't recognized any reaction on it. Don't expect the public - when you are anonymous - really takes care, what shoes you wear.

I have stopped wearing mens underware and switched to panties only. No one notices. Other then that I wear bodysuits and leotards under my clothes when it is cold. I have not needed to do that this year as it has not gotten that cold in CA yet. As I write this I am wearing my little skirt and a long sleeve seamless bodysuit. I am in luck as I am house sitting for my mother while she is out of town. Yeah internet.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons. As you are crunchy and good with chocolate!

I went out today wearing nothing but femme clothing, but no wig or makeup. I had on (from the inside out) Jockey Elance high-cut panties in baby blue, a four pad girdle in white from Penney's, a beige Playtex Thank Goodness it Fits bra, size 38 nearly A with breast enhancers, a white satin spaghetti strap camisole, a vee-neck rugby-striped shirt with 3/4 sleeves which exposed my camisole around the waist, Levis 519 stretch flared jeans, size 13, 2" "chunky" heeled black pumps, and a Jones New York black jacket which has about six snap closures up the front. I spent about two hours at a mall, Home Depot, and TJ Maxx and didn't notice anyone give me a second look.
While at TJ Maxx I bought a pair of Polo jeans (14 petite) and my first mini skirt (tan Tommy Jeans brand). I took both into the men's dressing room and tried them on.
I guess women's and men's clothes can look enough alike that no one notices. Of course, if I'd been wearing my 38C bra...!
