Thanks for answering my question, and then some! My youth was nowhere near as "active" as yours was. As much damage as the 5-ton might have done, I like that added touch that it had no muffler. Unless you were in a National Forest, about 10 miles in, there's no way that at least 25 homeowners didn't sit up in bed and say, "What was THAT?!"
And that was just the first lap.
A fun day!

That ranks up there with my run in with the Dallas polic at the George Strait Fest. Long story short I ended up in the canal that surrounds Texas Stadium....no I was not being chased. I did however have to have my tailbone removed and back issues. Those were the days.....except I was 28 years old
