Hello all: Summer has well and truly arrived in the Washington, D.C. area, with its typical hot and humid conditions. So my "dressing" for the near future is mostly limited to the inside of my air conditioned apartment.
So right now, I'm wearing: a long-ish "dirty blonde" wig, clear rimless glasses, hoop earrings, light blue corduroy jacket, light yellow short sleeve peter pan collar blouse, knee length A line paisley skirt, brown "mary jane" sandals. A little lipstick, a little foundation over the moustache area. no tights. Bra with cami over it underneath. not bad.
Have any of you ordered from the BEDFORD FAIR web site? Reasonable prices, especially on the "outlet" part of their site. The clothing is a mix of preppie-ish and more sophisticated looks. Also a little bit of what I'd call modified hippie.

Well, it's still hot outside and according to the Weather Channel web site, the heat 'n'humidity will remain in this area thru Wednesday. AARGH!!
So that means any "dressing" for the next few days will still be done here, in my air conditioned apartment.
My first order from BEDFORD FAIR came in and from that I'm wearing a light blue mock turtleneck "tee." With: peace sign pendant, "OLD NAVY" white box pleat skirt with narrow blue stripes, hoop earrings, long dark wig, clear large round glasses, light brown "mary jane" sandals. light crocheted hair band. Minimal make-up: foundation over the moustache area, a little "plumberry" lipstick. No tights.
Looking forward to receiving next BF orders-- trying some different styles-- hope they work.

It's too hot here in the Northeast for anything else-in the 80's before 7 am and expected to hit a hundred with a lot of humidity with no A.C. which is still good since I hate shutting the windows. Using the backyard cooling center a lot-a small pool with lots of people in it. Days like today I do not envy women their clothing.

Hello all: Just back from the August TGEA meeting-- my first time "out" in about 6 weeks since the Washington, D.C. area has been plagued by a nasty hot, humid summer. Today was warm, but not as intensely hot as it had been and not humid.
Curious to see how a long wig would look with today's "nice girl" ensemble (wore a shorter wig to the meeting).
So: long-ish dark wig, pink short sleeve "camp shirt" with white floral pattern (Bedford Fair), white belt, fuchsia knee length "cargo skirt" (Bedford Fair), white socks, ankle high light brown walking boots. Hoop earrings. No tights-- too warm.
I'm off to England for two weeks to attend the 2006 Fairport Convention festival and hopefully catch a few other good events. Leaving on the 8th and returning on the 22nd. Will bring one or two "femme" outfits, but don't know if there will be any good opportunities for "dressing."

Hi all,

I have a couple of hours to dress and tried something a little different today.

I've had a green spaghetti strap top with matching lace trim and a built-in shelf bra for a while (less than $2 at a Penneys clearance rack last fall) and for the first time, tried my silicone enhancers only with it and they fit great!

I usually wear my size 8 Transform classics that make me a 44C.

This discovery gives me new dimensions to explore (pun intended).

I'm also wearing a long patchwork print broomstick skirt, pink sandals, satin panties underneath.

wow, no posting to this thread since last friday by me. Well here I go again. My wife and kids are doing some shopping today. I called before coming home from work and my wife said they would be awhile and to go ahead and have fun. That is my queue that is is Kimmy time and my wife will call with a 30 min warning when they leave and a 5 min warning when they get to town to give me time to get changed and things picked up.

I am in a long purple skirt suit and and 2 in pumps. And all of the underthings. No makeup or wig. This is how i like to be around the house when I can. But I am normally a bit more casual around the house. But tonight I felt a bit more dressy.
