My most recent purchases.
I bought 2 new two piece swim suits One has a skirted white bottom and the top has a flower embrodered in it. The other is teal and white with a skirted bottom. As I type this I am wearing a new set of purple ladies pjs.

I went back to Torrid this afternoon, and finally spent enough money to qualify for their "divastyle" program, good for an additional 5% off everything. I got a Jalate camouflage mini, with a cream-colored beaded cami (a cami with cammies, ha!), both on clearance. I also picked up a pair of Restricted "Camouflage Cork Wedge Sandals".

I didn't get the shoes to go with the skirt - that would be overkill on the camo, but I thought they'd look good with jeans.

Because I am working a manure load of extra hours I decied to treat my self and went on a little shopping spree. I bought a few skirts and matching tops along with a couple different sandles (one of which is from Italy and I love) I also bought a dress but I first had to have it repaired as there was a small rip next to the zipper. They fixed it for me for free so now I am really happy tell I get the bill.

Hi. Went to Ross last Friday, and bought new pants and a top on clearance (total less than $20.). They were very nice, and directed me to the ladies change area to try them on, where I not only had no problems, but was complimented on my choice of top. (I was enfemme, as I am most of the time, and will be full time in a couple of months). I had my hair cut and colored on Thursday, and actually got "ma'med" twice in the space of 40 minutes (once by a cop because I had forgot to turn off my security alarm--but that's another story (humerous), and again an hour later while buying groceries.
Need to buy some new shoes and nice pants suit for work, though most times a casual skirt or jeans and top are acceptable there. Maybe this weekend?
Love, Carolynn

I went back to Torrid (the sixth time in a month; I swear, if I spend anymore money in there, I'll have to buy stock in the company to get back some of my investment!). I did visit a different location this time, at Northlake Mall in north Charlotte. I found that this mall is a little more my speed than Southpark. Aside from Torrid, all the other vendors there are a bit outside my price range (Louis Vuitton, Swarovski, bebe, et al...).
I bought a blue and white floral-print halter dress. It's listed on their website as "casual", but I think it's very dressy, especially with heels and the right jewelry. I also bought a pair of black platform flip-flops and more bangle bracelets. After years of not being able to wear any, I find that I want as many as I can get.

Too hot in Silver Spring!
Hello all:
The hot'n'steamy weather still rules here in the Washington, D.C. area, so no "out and about" trips until the temp goes down about 20 degrees (at least).
The only "dressing" I can do is inside this apartment.
But back to the topic at hand: I've now made several orders from BEDFORD FAIR by calling their toll free number: 1 800 964 1000. Their styles range from nice casual, to sort of preppy, and more formal. Even some sort of cleaned up "hippie" items. Lots of variety, reasonable prices.
Today I ordered: "heather knit dress" in "oatmeal" (comes with belt), red and black "color block" skort set, "carefree cargo skirts" (light blue, fuchsia),and gabardine kinfe pleat skirts in black, navy, "charcoal" (gray) and red.
Has anyone else ever ordered from BEDFORD FAIR?
I'll have to figure out how to post some photos here-- I am not a techie and am somewhat intimidated by all the procedures involved with computer work.
Have a great summer!
Peace-- Kendra Lynn

I went by Torrid this past weekend. They were having an employee appreciation sale, and my favorite manager decided to pass the savings on to me. I bought a pair of l.e.i. Sophia hiphuggers, and got them for $19! I love these jeans! They're snug in a whole different way, but my "hips" really show in them. I'm afraid I'm going to have to save them for cooler weather, though.

Hello, all!
This was the "sales tax free" weekend here in North Carolina, so I decided to make the most of it this morning and afternoon. First, I made a stop at Wal Mart to pick up some silk flowers. While I was there, I found a couple of half denim / half print skirts in my size, a beautiful cream colored sleeveless top, a purple work-out top and coordinating exercise capris.
It was my first time in Wal Mart as Angie, so I was nervous. The store was fairly crowded and the cash register attendant was in the mood to chat. I really wish I could find a voice that works, because I hate to seem so distant to others. Baby steps, Angie. Baby steps.
Next, I went to Borders Books to look for a particular DVD, which they didn't have. Then, made a stop at the grocery store. All in all a nice day to be out and a great day to be accepted (I think) as a woman.
Take Care
