A Steffie sighting in mainstream NC

Hi girls,
I've had some nice outings in NC although they have been kind of infrequent. Up to now however, I have stayed close to a town that is considered LGBT friendly. One of my goals however is to spread out and to go to an area that would pose more of a challenge (to a more rural area). Today was that day. I wore a halter top with Capri's and sandals. I walked in a more rural town and am happy to report that it was uneventful. One car even stopped by me as I was walking and asked for directions to a particular location they were looking for. I was able to help them and they were polite. A couple of other people smiled and said hi as I was walking. I think I only heard one person (from far away) utter something about being a man but that was the only negative thing I heard.
In a way this was like riding a bike but this time I didn't have "training wheels" like I have had the last couple of months in Carolina. All in all it was a very nice, successful day.
