My Tri-Ess chapter had a booth at the Ft. Worth Pride Fest this last Saturday. It was a great day. We met a lot of people, got asked a lot of questions, even got some nice comments on dress, makeup, and manner. Mostly from the Lesibans at the Fest. One little boy did ask if we were really guys. With his mother's help we explained to him what we were and he seemed to be satisfied with the explination. We gave out a ton of candy and pamplets. Three different men came up and told us that they were CDer's and want to know how they could join our chapter. We gave them pamplets, took there phone numbers, and promised to talk to them about joining.

All in all, it was a great Saturday. It is nice to be able to go out, have fun, and not have to worry if someone clocks you. LOL

It is so great that things went well for you at your pride Parade.

I have not had the privelage of attending one as of yet, but hoping that within the next year my situation will change, and that I can get involved in more outings like that.

Keep up the good work

Denise

One thing I did not mention was that they announced on the loud speaker system all the various orgs that had booths. There were 46 booths and they announced each of them. Our booth was #2 and as each booth was announced there were claping and cheers. When they announced ours, three of us stood out in front and waved to the crowd. It felt great to recieve the reconigtion.

My Tri-Ess chapter tries to be out in the public as part of our outreach program. We have had seminars with various Colleges, Police and Fire Departments.
