I missed chat on Saturday night because I joined a local support group and was attending my first monthly meeting.

It was great! The time just seemed to fly by. @@9@@

Another member was kind enough to take a couple of pictures of me. I hope to crop and resize one soon and add it to the gallery.

Congrads.........You on your way........I remember when I first started going out. It was a little scary, but as you do it more and more, it will become normal.

Great, Jadeanne! My first times at a support group were done as a guy, so I didn't get the lift-off from it. Glad it worked for you.

Good for you Hon!

Hi Jadeanne
Isn't it great to be able to be yourself and enjoy a night out? Everyone else gets to do it. Why not us! Hugs.

Love
Auntie Jeannie

Thank you all for your kind words.

There were 11 people attending the meeting including one spouse.

There was a mix of people across the CD/TG spectrum, including one who changed her name and just got a drivers license with the female sex indication.

We sat around a large table and talked about various subjects, some CD/TG related, some not.

I changed at the meeting place and wore an outfit with an autumn theme. Two members dressed in Halloween costumes - a Hooters girl and a St Pauli Girl tavern wench.

One member just joined the Erie, PA CD group and told us of her experience there including shopping dressed as a woman for the first time - a good experience.

It was great talking to people face to face. There were a few photos passed around and a few cameras were used in action.

I did exchange phone numbers and email addresses with one member and we have talked on the phone and exchanged emails.

When I applied for membership, I gave the president a link to my beginnings post here in addition to the questions on the membership application. They usually require an interview with prospective members before the first meeting, but I was accepted without one. I guess they were impressed.

I'm looking forward to the next meeting.

Hi Jadeanne,

What a great step to take. I am so happy for you. I know how difficult it is to get the courage to go out and I also know the reward that accompanies it. I just couldn't be happier for you.

Love always,
Elizabeth
