I know this kind of thing has been posted before, but I can't resist - I'm so happy. I am in a situation where for the next 10 days I can dress and shop pretty much to my heart's content. Plus, I just received my new breast forms - my first ever! They are so wonderful, such an improvement over birdseed, water balloons, etc. Somehow, I lucked out and ordered just the right size to fit my C cups together with my own contribution. They are so warm, soft, and bouncy, I just love them.
Anyway, yesterday I shopped a bit and bought a new skirt and two tops. I'm so happy (did I say that before?) sitting here in my new skirt and blouse, looking down at my breasts. Now, if I could just find that pair of black strappy heels in size 11.....

Ah! I can relate to the feeling, I know the breast enhancer I bought at Macy's made a real difference. Have fun and enjoy.

These little staycations where we can dress as we want can be a lot of fun, although by the end I am usually happy to redon my male clothing.
Enjoy yourself and let us know what happens.

Just a little update. For the past 5 days, I've been on my own, far from home working on a job site. Except for the hours I have to spend at the site, I'm able to dress, including my wonderful new forms and a few new items I've bought here. It is so fantastic to spend so much time dressed, even if I don't leave my room.
This is so different! My usual closeted habit is to wait til I'm alone, dig my things out of deep hiding, dress, feel the thrill for a few minutes even while worrying about getting caught, then put everything back in hiding until the next time. [I know, I know, you're going to tell me to tell my SO, that hiding is no good, but I cannot bring myself to come out. Perhaps a story for another day] Now, I get up (already in my nighty and warm soft breasts) and dress in a relaxed, normal way. I eat breakfast, read, do some paperwork, etc. etc. in a skirt and blouse or whatever I feel like wearing. I am pretty much spending more time en femme than in guy mode.
I think I've discovered something or made some kind of breakthrough here. In guy mode, I usually care little for what I wear, I could wear the same thing day after day and not even think about it. For the last few days, even though I have enough girl clothes to mix and match several different outfits, I am left wanting more - more variety, more different things. So, what I'm wondering is - is this just a symptom of my brief liberation from the closet or is this a kind of female attitude toward dress that I'm evolving into?
Sorry for the long post. Does this make sense to anyone?

It makes total sense. I am the same way, one of the things I like about guy clothes is the lack of thought they require. Womens clothes have more variety and also lots more ways that they don't work together-the finished picture is more important. Plus they are just fun to aquire, even if most of my shopping is done in thrift shops.

Wanting more is a result of feeling liberated.
Wanting more variety is just fashion sense
You may want to cut down on the dressing a few days before you and your SO get together again. Ease back into the, ah . . . humdrum. Otherwise it may be hard to adjust back.
Makes sense

Danielle: Absolutely makes sense. Even within the parameters of my "girl" style-- "nice girl"/"preppie" with a hippie accent-- there are plenty of choices of dresses, skirts, tops, sweaters, outerwear, shoes and boots. The amount of choices from even one retailer can be staggering.
"Guy" stuff is much simpler. I'm basically an aging hippie (though most of the real hair is gone), so I don't wear suits and I'm not fashion oriented as to guy stuff. T-shirts and jeans or shorts (weather permitting) are the usual combo for me.
So yes, I absolutely pay more attention to how I look and what I'm wearing when "en femme." I would say it is part of the fun of CDing, and also will help with "blending in " as much as possible.
I have also discovered, in the ten or so years I've been actively CDing that it has taken some time to develop my "femme" style and to realize that women's sizes are quite variable. An XL from one place could be a 2X from another. I can fit some size 16 skirts, but ALL tops have to be 18, 20, XL, 1X, or 2X. I can generally fit into misses 18 or 20 from most places, but have also discovered that a 1X or 20 from SOME plus size outlets (JESSICA LONDON, for example) fit pefectly. I've even fit comfortably into a 20 petite dress from WILLOW RIDGE/BEDFORD FAIR.
The world of women's clothing is a baffling but fun place.
Peace-- Kendra Lynn ("hippie cheerleader").
"I like girls but for some reason, I also enjoy dressing as one." (as good a "CD" credo as I've come up with).
