Shoes, Shoes, and more Shoes

Post by Curridel »

I dont know about anyone else, but I love to shop for shoes, high-heels and stellitos, I get some sort of rush to buy them and if they are cute, forget about it, they are mine.... as soon as I get home I have to try them on and see what they look like, I seem to have a knack for buying the right heels for the right outfit, as it is, I have more heels than my wife does and she cant understand why that is, I mean she has heels too, but doesnt like to wear them that much, me on the hand, I love to wear heels, get me into a pair of 5inch heels and Im in heaven..Do any of you girls feel the same way? ***()***

Phases

Post by Kimberly Kael »

I've found that I tend to go through phases. I realize how woefully short I am of belts, and suddenly all I see are belts. I find a handful of styles that I think might be fun and over the course of a few weeks or months I buy one of each style that I like. Then I learn which of these actually works well with my body and wardrobe, and then the cycle began again with the next item: shoes, coats, etc.

The best change I ever made was to start actually trying everything on before buying, which has helped stem the tide of purchases a little. I still find that I go through phases of eyeing one kind of item but I buy a lot less!

So yes, I can definitely identify with your love of shoes. I'm not sure I own more shoes than my wife, but I've been making up for lost time and they tend to be somewhat less practical. I used to be amused at how many pairs she'd take when we travelled and then I found out for myself exactly why. When I take my femme self traveling one of the hardest things to do is keep the shoe quota under control.

Having an eye for the right shoe for the right outfit is quite an accomplishment and it can be challenging as well.

I heard on the news that the "new trend" is high heels. 5 - 6 - 7 inch heels!
I will stick with my 3 -4 I think.

Also, I also feel that one reason that "we" can wear heels comfortably and GG's, well some GG's have problems is that our ankles are possibly a bit stronger, bigger, whatever but that we can better "handle the load" so to speak.

Having lots of shoes just come with the territory. SL and I went to look as some property today and I wore slacks and ankle high boots with a 4" heel, then when we came back and went out to dinner, I put on a skirt and a pair of 3" Hush Puppy heels and they are just soooo comfortable.

Shop on ladies, it's in the blood and remember, "When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping!"

Love,

Virginia

PS: I got so many shoes I, well lets just say, I have lots to chose from! =D>

PPS: I wonder if girls from the "wrong" side of Bristol still go bare-footed year round!?

I too love shoes, can't seem to get enough. To me, a pair of heels are incredibly sexy, whether on my feet, the feet of a GG stepping down the sidewalk, or just on the sale rack. For me, part of the attraction is that unlike other parts of dressing where I have to fuss with padding, makeup, fit, etc., once I put on a pair of 3 inch heels (with stockings, of course), that part of my femme personna is done and usually looks great.

I love heels also, but not so much that I'm a shop  for them. However, since my stroke last year, I have a hard time wearing them, and now own several ballet flats.

Only when we're not out workin' on the farm, lemme tell ya, it's a bit on the dangerous side to milk the cows & slop the pigs in 4" heels though.

Having the correct shoe for the outfit is important. Sometimes more than one pair per outfit is required depending upon weather and season.
So, shopping and having the correct number of pairs is important.

Donna, as much as I love heels, I adore ballet flats. They are one of my favorite fashion fads of recent times. They are so cute!

A few mornings ago, on my way to work, I saw a woman on my bus wearing what looked like black patent leather ballet flats, complete with the cute litte bow near the front. But then she shifted in her seat and I saw that they were actually pumps with a very slender two-inch heel.

I must find those shoes! [-o<
I'm not that kind of girl.
