Christmas parties - anyone going?

Susan went to her first Christmas party last night.

I bought a new dress for the occasion (This one)

http://www.bravissimo.com/products/clot ... tails.aspx

I got dressed and made up before I went and drove the 18 miles or so to the venue, it was pouring with rain. I had to park my car about 100yards from the place and while walking to the place (in a coat) I passed about 10 people who never gave me a second look.

What a very pleasant evening it was with so many people just like me. I look back over the last eighteen months and I now see how far I have come. I want to thank all those who helped me - both here and elsewhere.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Susan

Hi Susan. :) Very nice dress you selected, though a bit impractical for our winter weather. We have been below freezing the last couple of days with the nights even colder, and freezing drizzle and sleet. Oh Well. :)

Glad you felt comfortable getting out.

My Tri-Ess chapter had their annual Christmas Party last weekend. We had over 30 people attend. Good crowd for a TG Christmas Party. I too bought a new dress for the party. Funny, my wife told me later that she could believe how much fussing I went thru buying the dress for the party and getting ready for the party. She said I was worst than a GG. LOL She was ready in haft the time it took me.

Way to go Susan!!!!!

Ain't it great!!!??? It is just that way it seems more and more. MSNBC keeps running the same shows on the week-ends about folks who have or are in the process of transitioning, there are several shows on prime time with CD'ers or shows that reference CDing so I think that the "public" is,if not totally accepting, they are not as "shocked" even if they think they "saw what they saw!" Most people are so absorbed in their own little world that unless they are out looking for trouble, no one sees or cares. That is if you make an effort to "just blend in!"

Glad you had a good experience and hope you have many more!

I am glad to hear it went well for you. I am glad you are feeling comfortable enough to get out and do that. With your looks you should have no problem.

My support group had their Christmas party on Saturday night and it was great!

There were about a dozen of us there.

I changed there, but stayed en femme for the drive home, which included giving a lift to another member who lives near me.

What a rush!

No holiday parties here, but I'm gearing up for New Year's Eve. I had the perfect outfit put together, but it doesn't work with my new breast forms, so I have to go find something new.
